It's been a week of firsts for President Trump, and Thursday was no different. Today, the mogul-turned-politician took his first trip on Marine One and Air Force One as the 45th President of the United States. Mr Trump took the presidential helicopter to Joint Base Andrews, to ride Air Force One less than 150 miles up the beltway to the GOP's annual policy retreat in Philadelphia. As he ascended the stairs up into the aircraft for the first time, Mr Trump was clearly focused on the business ahead - not even stopping to turn around and wave as is usual for a departing president.

PIERS MORGAN'S TRUMP MEMO TO THERESA MAY

I’ve known Donald Trump for a decade and spent hundreds of hours in his company, giving me a rare insight into what makes him tick. When I spoke to him after his win, he asked me what you were like. I told him you were a calm, un-dramatic tough cookie who ran the UK government equivalent of Homeland Security for six years. He liked hearing that because it suggested to him you were a strong person and he despises weak people. Here are 10 pearls of Piers wisdom that I suggest might help with this vitally important moment in the history of the feted Special Relationship between Britain and America. First off - show him respect. Trump’s a bit Don Corleone.

How does a straight stick fit into a curved hole? Puzzling 3D illusion is finally explained in a thought-provoking video

A mind-bending optical illusion which sees a straight stick easily pass through a curved hole has been explained in a video filmed in America. The puzzling trick sees the small red pole fit into a bendy slot after it rotates around a circular base, similar to a turntable. In a video, the creator of the illusion, Make Anything, explains how the 'trick' - called Straight Pole, Curved Hole - works. The base of the pole, which is at an angle, passes through the hole first and each section of the rest of the pole slowly follows. It then works upward until the whole pole fits through the curved hole.
