Former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and Big Bang Theory actress Mayim Bialik say they will register as Muslim in a show of solidarity if Donald Trump creates an Islamic database.

They both declared publicly on Twitter on Wednesday that they 'stand ready' to register in defiance of the new president if he takes executive action that affects immigrants traveling to the U.S.

'I was raised Catholic, became Episcopalian & found out later my family was Jewish. I stand ready to register as Muslim in #solidarity,' Albright tweeted.

Albright, who was the first ever female Secretary of State, added that America should remain open to people of different faiths and backgrounds.

Bialik, who starred in the 90s sitcom Blossom and as Amy Farrah Fowler in Big Bang Theory, also pledged solidarity.

'I'm Jewish. I stand ready to register as a Muslim in #solidarity if it comes to that,' she wrote.

The Trump critic added: 'If we're registering people who you think are a threat, register white males too, since most serial killers & mass shooters are white males.'

President Trump during his campaign proposed a temporary ban on foreign Muslims entering the U.S. and at one point suggested requiring Muslims already in the country to register.

Trump never explicitly took a Muslim ban off the table.

Albright, who served under President Bill Clinton, didn't elaborate on where or how she would register as a Muslim.

It comes as Trump considers a four-month freeze on admission of all refugees and halt visas to people from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen because the Muslim-majority countries are 'terror prone'.

An executive order on the immigration bans are still being finalized and could come later in the week.
