Tragedy: Carrie Fisher (above in 2015 with Billie) passed away just days after Christmas

Carrie and Debbie were laid to rest earlier this month, with Debbie being buried at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles and Carrie being cremated after her death.

Her ashes were brought to Debbie's burial so some could be scattered in her tomb, and were kept in a giant Prozac pill.

'Carrie's favorite possession was a giant Prozac pill that she bought many years ago. A big pill,' her brother Todd said after the funeral service in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

'She loved it, and it was in her house, and Billie and I felt it was where she'd want to be.'

He then added: 'We couldn't find anything appropriate. Carrie would like that. It was her favorite thing, and so that's how you do it.

'And so they're together, and they will be together here and in heaven, and we're OK with that.'

Spirit lives on: Over the weekend, many of those who participated in the Women's March carried signs with Carrie Fisher or her Stars Wars character Princess Leia (LA protesters above)

Proud: 'I know where she stood. You know where she stood. Such an honor to see her standing with you today,' said her Star Wars co-star Mark Hammill of the signs (marchers in Seattle above)

Big hit: The most popular signs read 'A Women's Place Is In the Resistance' and 'We Are the Resistance' (young protesters in Los Angeles)

Meanwhile, Carrie's legacy very much lived on over the weekend at the Women's March, with protesters around the country electing to carry signs which featured her Star Wars character, Princess Leia.

Around the world both women and men hoisted up signs with Carrie's likeness, the most popular being one of her dressed as Princess Leia that read: 'A Women's Place Is In the Resistance' and 'We Are the Resistance.'

Her Star Wars co-star Mark Hammill commented on the signs Saturday, writing: 'I know where she stood. You know where she stood. Such an honor to see her standing with you today. Bigly. #Resistance #WorldWideWomensMarch.'

And speaking of Star Wars news, it was also revealed earlier this week that week that Carrie's final film in the series, which will be released last this year, will be called The Last Jedi.
