Welcome to the jungle! Jacob Tremblay is set to face off against extraterrestrials in Predator reboot

His career started in just one room but now this pint sized actor is about to fight creators from out of space.

Jacob Tremblay is the latest star to be cast in the Predator reboot.

The 10-year-old has been cast in the latest installment in the science-fiction franchise, The Hollywood Reporter said Wednesday.

The new film, named The Predator, also stars Boyd Holbrook and will start filming next month.

The Room actor will play the son of an ex-Marine (Boyd) who discovers the existence of predator aliens but no one believes him.

Jacob's character is autistic and a victim of school yard bullying but what many see as his weaknesses, as well as a gift for languages, become critical to fighting the extraterrestrials.

Also cast on this intergalactic battle is Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Keegan-Michael Key and Trevante Rhodes.

The film is co-written and directed by Shane Black, who wrote and starred in the 1987 original.

The first film also starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as the leader of an elite special forces team who enter the jungles of Central America on a rescue mission when they become the prey of the Predator.

The film then spawned two more movies, Predator 2 in 1990 and Predators 2010 as well as two cross over films with other cult hit Alien. 

Jacob become a household name after his performance in the Oscar-nominated Room in 2015.
