You know, I've always more or less supported Krause (that gym is like 1.5 hours from my house), but the more time goes by, the less I'm convinced that the gym is running smoothly and the less respect I have for him.

It seems like there's always controversy and people exit the gym, I don't even know if his record as a coach in the UFC is that great and it seems like the fights I've been really invested in have seen guys perform pretty badly (Anthony Smith, Megan Anderson, a handful of local guys I've always supported, etc.). I chalked it up to Krause either A) having too many people in the gym and not being able to give them proper attention or B) still trying to be an active fighter himself for a while. But that's not even considering all of the drama with affair accusations, betting controversy, etc.

The moment I became really put off is when Krause had a "sports betting expert" on his podcast and posted the clip to Instagram. The "expert" was literally picking Krause's fighter (Julian Marquez) to win and said he should have been a huge favorite. I knew that it was a really bad call but of course with that giant conflict of interest, the guy wasn't going to tell Krause on-air that his guy would lose. Of course Julian goes on to lose via first round KO. No disrespect to the fighter at all, but I just thought it was absurd that Krause would openly give betting advice on his own fighter.
