Registers of Practitioners

Welcome to the on-line register of practitioners and to the register of cancelled health practitioners.

You can use the register to check the registration status of all health practitioners who are registered to practise in Australia. If someone's name appears on this register, they can practise within the scope of their registration. You can find out more information by searching for individual practitioners and following the links.

See top tips on using the register for public safety.

More information about the terms used in the register can be found in the glossary.

Search the registers of practitioners

Anyone can check a health practitioner’s registration by searching the on-line national register. The quickest and easiest way to search is by name and profession. To search for information about a health practitioner, enter 'Family Name' or 'Registration Number'.

From July 2010, practitioners were given a new registration number, so registration numbers allocated to practitioners before 30 June 2010 are not recognised. A maximum of 50 results will be returned - complete more fields to narrow your search.

The names of health practitioners whose registration has been cancelled under the National Law are published on the register of cancelled practitioners. There is also a list of practitioners who have surrendered their registration and agreed to not practise their profession.

If you need assistance, please contact AHPRA on 1300 419 495 or complete a web enquiry.
