Let me guess: Lindsay’s character will have a child by this point— probably a teenager and presumably the main character— and they’ll be what kicks off a three-way swap of everybody.

[–]gatorgongitcha 2074 points2075 points  (68 children)

and then Michael Myers comes home

[–]Haunting_Study_5530 1257 points1258 points  (20 children)

Shall we shag now or shag later

This was a good one.

Michael Meyers and Jamie lee curtis switch bodies?

[–]dinkelidunkelidoja 151 points152 points  (9 children)

And she’s about to find out, being Michael Myers…is harder than it looks. Jamie Lee Curtis is Michael Myers, in theaters now.

[–]Jurrian242 71 points72 points  (5 children)

(Rated PG-13)

[–]itrivers 34 points35 points  (3 children)

Rob Schneider is… a Carrot!

[–]Paulpoleon 16 points17 points  (2 children)

Rob Schneider is.. a stapler. Rated PG-13

[–]mas1108 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Oh behave

[–]Fintann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No joke, I'd watch that Rom Com

[–]caninehere 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Swapping is his specialty. He puts the "grr" in "swinger", baby, yeah!

[–]TaylorDangerTorres 22 points23 points  (0 children)

That's just the movie "Freaky" which by the way, was originally called "Freaky Friday the 13th" which is an awesome title, but they had to change it.

[–]EverbodyHatesHugo 6 points7 points  (5 children)

I sort of love this idea.

[–]Killboypowerhed 8 points9 points  (4 children)

Then watch "Freaky". Same concept

[–]Chubuwee 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Is that before or after herbie swap? I hear Jamie’s performance as Herbie is fully loaded

[–]TheColtOfPersonality 11 points12 points  (0 children)

EVIL DIES soon in a theater or Disney+ near you

[–]thefeint 10 points11 points  (1 child)

"Mondays are manic. Wednesdays are wild."

Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees switch bodies.

"And Fridays... are about to get a little freaky."

[–]VoteForSandtrap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Driving Herbie

[–]WishBear19 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With his Plastic mask and he doesn't wear pink on Wednesdays.

[–]jakejames 179 points180 points  (3 children)

100% Jamie Lee Curtis is swapping with the teenager.

[–]StrayMoggie 24 points25 points  (1 child)

JLC dropping into LL body again: "OMG, her body has been ridden hard and put away wet!"

[–]ericjgriffin 13 points14 points  (0 children)

JLC looks in a mirror " Oh my GOD! What happened to my face?"

[–]salamander423 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Basically everyone advances one step (sort of).

[–]Locke108 430 points431 points  (32 children)

Over under on it being Sadie Sink or Jenna Oretga?

[–]softsand 407 points408 points  (11 children)

My money is on Pedro Pascal

[–]Joebuddy117 130 points131 points  (0 children)

So hot right now

[–]why_rob_y 56 points57 points  (6 children)

Pedro Pascal will actually be needed to escort the child somewhere.

[–][deleted] 33 points34 points  (3 children)

I love shows where Pedro Pascal escorts children places. It's weird that that's a genre though.

[–]SpaceGangrel 19 points20 points  (2 children)

Can't wait for the A Plague Tale adaptation with Pedro Pascal as Amicia

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't tease me with a good time.

[–]daskaputtfenster 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He's Lindsey Lohans older husband and their child is Bella Ramsey

[–]matti2o8 119 points120 points  (11 children)

Sadie Sink could actually pass as Lindsay Lohan's daughter pretty easily

[–]Now_Wait-4-Last_Year 46 points47 points  (2 children)

I don't want to keep being reminded of the passage of time thank you very much.

[–]MrWeirdoFace 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tommorow is our future yesterday.

[–]MrWeirdoFace 8 points9 points  (4 children)

Fun fact: Contrary to popular belief, Sadie Sink actualy floats.

[–]ConsistentPerformer3 30 points31 points  (0 children)

so freaky Wednesday this time

[–]caninehere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd throw Eliza Scanlen in there for good measure but she's too good of an actor for it.

[–]komododave17 22 points23 points  (1 child)

It might be fun if it was JLC retired in a senior citizen’s beach neighborhood, living her best lonely retired life getting banged by every 80 year old widower, and Lindsay as a haggard divorced mom who has no time for romance. When switched, suddenly JLC has to deal with kids again and a modern dating scene and Lindsay has to fend off half a dozen pensioners hopped up on viagra. Kind of a nice aged switcheroo from the first where it’s stressed mom and carefree youth.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

...I'd watch that.

[–]Sisiwakanamaru 83 points84 points  (18 children)

I do not think the child will be teenager, It'll be more like the child will be in Grade school. If it is teenager, it'll be some sort of rehash of the first one.

[–]TaylorDangerTorres 142 points143 points  (9 children)

An unoriginal Disney sequel?? That could never happen!!

[–]almightySapling 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As if the first one was an original concept to begin with.

Like Father Like Son is how old now? Hell, there's probably an even older one.

[–][deleted] 83 points84 points  (2 children)

I can see that point. Regardless of their age, it’ll be a total rehash anyway, lol.

[–]Sisiwakanamaru 41 points42 points  (1 child)

Yeah, even the first movie is remake, at least the idea of three way body swap and the child is in grade school gave a fresher perspective.

[–]Pool_Shark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah Lindsay got her career started with rehashes (Parent Trap was a remake)

[–]cerealdaemon 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Futurama did it.

[–]canadarepubliclives 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love you mop bucket

[–]Additional_Meeting_2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Curtis might also have another child with the new husband.

[–]FaithfullyAdept 7 points8 points  (0 children)

hopefully the plot is as great as the first one

[–]musicgirlbr 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I mean, I’d definitely watch that…

[–]peepmymixtape 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Give this man the Oscar!

And they said there was a writers strike.

[–]jamesitos 9 points10 points  (1 child)

I predict a gay character

[–]FieldOfFox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you want to be a Hollywood producer? You clearly have what it takes.

[–]janstantangelo 1336 points1337 points  (27 children)

Freaky Friday after the next. This time they switch bodies with Ice Cube and Mike Epps

[–]tc_spears2-0 805 points806 points  (14 children)

Hey Disney, you know that new extended universe you're looking for? Well, listen to this......"White Chicks Cinematic Universe."

[–]cavedan12 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Hey, Keenan! It's your cousin Marvin, Marvin Wayans! You know that new universe you were looking for? Well, listen to this...

[–]Im_Lars 102 points103 points  (9 children)

If they do, I'm hoping they have a Freaky Friday: No Way Home, that way they can bring in the Lil Dicky and Chris Brown reboot into the mix.

[–]Sock756 49 points50 points  (6 children)

If they're the antagonists and played by other people then I'd buy tickets.

[–]tc_spears2-0 28 points29 points  (3 children)

starting Kanye West as Chris Brown as Reese Witherspoon

[–]squarefan80 36 points37 points  (0 children)

great! now we only need 8 more Friday movies so we can finally unite them with Friday the 13th! Friday Complete Universe.

[–]ihohjlknk 60 points61 points  (1 child)

2 Freaky 2 Friday.

[–]Rabid_Chocobo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’d like to hear the pitch meeting for that movie.

“It’s like if White Chicks met Disney”

[–]jramos037 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Surreal Saturday

[–]LeagueofDrayDray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some reason i read that as they switch with killer mike and el p

[–]Thetimmybaby 476 points477 points  (30 children)

Cast Jodie Foster! I wanted the extended Freakyverse

[–]fergi20020 133 points134 points  (12 children)

Why not Vince Vaughn too?

[–]damientepps 47 points48 points  (10 children)

And Rob Schneider?

[–]Ultimastar 19 points20 points  (6 children)

And Judge Reinhold/Fred Savage if you wanna go back to 1988

[–]jaytrade21 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds as well....gotta get that R rated raunchy humor...

[–]Snarl_Marx 7 points8 points  (2 children)

Kirk Cameron and Dudley Moore if we’re going back that far.

[–]hardspank916 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does Dream a Little Dream count? Corey needs the work

[–]poeBaer 52 points53 points  (9 children)

Can we throw in all the "supernatural" body swap movie actors for good measure? The Change-Up, Hot Chick... Vice Versa. Ryan Reynolds loves a good cameo. It can be a universe where body swap wishes are just a common, every day occurrence

[–]kit_kat_barcalounger 36 points37 points  (2 children)

Toss in “The Gang Turns Black” from It’s Always Sunny and watch the sparks fly

[–]ploppedmenacingly14 8 points9 points  (0 children)

its ooOoOkayyy, they gave me this traiiinnn

[–]mikemil50 4 points5 points  (0 children)

WHAT ARE THE RULES?

[–]StuartRomano114 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Freaky

[–]Sad7Statue 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Speaking of Reynolds, you forgot Detective Pikachu. Perhaps, the greatest body swap movie of our generation.

[–]DaySlayerZ 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I like how you think.

[–]FluffyTrainz 1 point2 points  (2 children)

They say it's based on an old novel, but fail to mention the original 1976 movie with Jodie Foster...

[–]BadNraD 177 points178 points  (3 children)

I have a body swap fetish and this is the only way I can get off

[–]PATRIOTSRADIOSIGNALS 70 points71 points  (0 children)

More people deserve to be subjected to your comment.

[–]Ello_Owu 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Sounds like everyday is a freaky Friday for you

[–]ShanaAfterAll 332 points333 points  (26 children)

JLC brought up her and Lohan's hopes of this project coming together fairly often during her awards season campaign. I figured it was only a matter of time before it was announced.

[–]Justnobodyfqwl 270 points271 points  (14 children)

I have a lot of respect for the actors who are very open about the fact that the Hollywood reboot trend is only useful as an excuse to spend time with people they miss working with.

[–]Pool_Shark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Reboots aren’t inherently bad. They can be fun or even really good.

The problem and bad name comes from when studios half ass everything and assume the name itself will sell it alone.

A good movie is a good movie and a bad movie is a bad movie. Doesn’t matter if it’s a remake, reboot, etc. or not as long as everything else is well done

[–]rachface636 81 points82 points  (7 children)

I love JLC's championing for the under dog. And I love that Lohan is doing so much better.

[–]Drmoogle 40 points41 points  (5 children)

Is she? I'm glad she got it together.

[–]majnuker 32 points33 points  (4 children)

She had a cute christmas movie come out last year, she seemed okay and it was sweet!

[–]DreamOfV 5 points6 points  (2 children)

I feel like this was all Jamie’s doing. Using her Oscar win to call the studio and say “so this can happen now, right?”

I seem to remember Mahershala Ali doing something similar. Shortly after he won his second Oscar he called Kevin Feige and said he wanted to play Blade in a Blade movie and the only thing Feige could do was say yes

[–]W00DERS0N 2 points3 points  (1 child)

TBF though, that's an amazing casting choice for Blade.

Maybe 2 other people who could do it (MBJ, Anthony Mackie), but Ali has that je ne se quoi that just fits perfectly.

[–]johnathanshutup 67 points68 points  (10 children)

Freaky Saturday

[–]Juswantedtono 28 points29 points  (1 child)

And Sunday comes afterwards

I don’t want this weekend to end

[–]jramos037 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Surreal Saturday

[–]gorbok 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Spooky Saturday

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Taco Tuesday

[–]TheGlen 159 points160 points  (9 children)

I want the ultimate crossover version. Freaky Friday the 13th Warrior. Lindsey Lohan, Antonio Banderas and Kane Hodder have to team up and some how get their bodies back.

[–]goma_eye 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Enter the Freaky Friday the 13th Chamber of Shaolin Wu-Tang

[–]Rxmses 13 points14 points  (2 children)

Just bring Regina George and the other twin from Parent Trap to the mix too.

[–]btjk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Lohan, there do I see my father.

[–]pajamasx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Add Ice Cube to that and I’m in for sure.

[–]SC487 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I need to see Lindsay Lohan wielding a ground down Viking sword and going apeshit on some gang though.

[–]goma_eye 118 points119 points  (1 child)

This time, it's Freaky Every Day.

Denise has an important job, a passionate husband, and a mischievous daughter named Bridgette. Bridgette finds a magic amulet that switches her body with - her dad.

Now, her dad is in a 13 year olds developing teenage body, and Bridgette has to be a passionate husband to her own mom!

And guess what?

It's forever

[–]daNtonB1ack 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Guess Sal gave them a really good pitch.

[–][deleted] 124 points125 points  (7 children)

See? And who says Hollywood is out of ideas?

[–]thrillho145 57 points58 points  (3 children)

A sequel to the second remake of a movie based on a novel.

[–]_Vaudeville_ 22 points23 points  (0 children)

This is a novelisation of the movie Precious, based on the book Push by Sapphire.

[–]IntellegentIdiot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which was based on Vice Versa, which was also made into a film

[–]MLein97 4 points5 points  (1 child)

If you use the old script you don't have to pay for writers.

[–]SuperSMT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have plenty of ideas, they just know which ones will unfortunately make the most money

[–]imareallivewire 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Nostalgia is the biggest moneymaker

[–][deleted] 28 points29 points  (0 children)

This will be awful

[–]takemewithyer 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Pretty sure Jamie and Lindsay have been trying to make this happen for several years. Amazing what an Oscar win can fund!

[–]Robert_Cannelin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why squander the funds on this, though?

[–]ShingshunG 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Better have Chad Michael Murray in it

[–]King_Tamino 13 points14 points  (8 children)

Recently watched the horror movie version Freaky. Pretty good, same concept but a serial killer instead mom swaps the body

[–]hollisterr 3 points4 points  (5 children)

This movie feels severely underrated as I never hear anyone talking about it, but man it was a fun one and has earned it's way in my must watch every fall.

[–]Rasselkurt007 50 points51 points  (5 children)

Cool but, i can not imagine it will be any good.

[–]SilentSamurai 19 points20 points  (2 children)

Well, you got peak Lohan in the first one and I just can't imagine even if she's "rounded a corner" that she's anywhere close to where she was.

[–]MCplattipus 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Her Christmas movie was enjoyable enough. Admittedly still not peak Lohan but i have faith she can put out some great acting still.

[–]chocoboat 8 points9 points  (1 child)

I expect it to be terrible, but I'm looking forward to watching it. Good or bad, I'm going to see it.

[–]Imraith-Nimphais 4 points5 points  (2 children)

There is a book sequel to Freaky Friday, FYI, but I’m guessing this is not that. https://www.kirkusreviews.com/book-reviews/mary-rodgers/summer-switch/

[–]That_one_cool_dude 19 points20 points  (7 children)

Fucking why.... why do we need this? I fucking hate Hollywood and its insistence on doing anything but something new and diluting everything else with sequels and reboots.

[–]robophile-ta 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As mentioned above, both JLC and Lohan had been talking about wanting to do this for ages, and JLC has brought it up a lot on her recent awards circuit

[–]tchotchkeee 15 points16 points  (3 children)

On one hand, JLC fresh winner of an oscar who is in demand and at her peak, and on the other hand…..

[–]TheHippyDance 3 points4 points  (1 child)

JLC is at her peak?? 😂

So you’re 15 years old tops

[–]lowprofile14 4 points5 points  (3 children)

Freakier Friday

[–]Zaacdragon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Freaky Friday 2 featuring academy award winner Jamie Lee Curtis

[–]thebscaller 4 points5 points  (3 children)

JLC is just focused on securing the bag at this point and I don’t fault her for it

[–]Drmoogle 7 points8 points  (2 children)

She's got a bag...she probably has a whole bank at this point. Comes off like a dragon hoarding gold if she's still doing projects with money as her primary motivator.

Maybe she just wants to do something fun that won't take any effort and let's her stay busy.

[–]DisturbedNocturne 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Considering who her parents were, I'm pretty sure she was born with the bag. Perhaps it's due to that, but she's never really struck me as an actress who is picking roles for the money. I'm doubting, for instance, that Knives Out or Everything Everywhere All at Once were big paydays for her given their small budgets.

[–]Sisiwakanamaru 44 points45 points  (24 children)

Yay, the Lohanaissance is continue, in early 2000's, I thought she was one of the most charismatic actors compared to her peers.

[–]DoctorSkeeterBatman 65 points66 points  (21 children)

Is this the same Lindsay Lohan that harassed a refugee family on the street and accused them of kidnapping, while talking in some ridiculous accent/gibberish Arabic?

This one?

I'll pass on the "Lohanaissance".

[–][deleted] 37 points38 points  (9 children)

Not excusing this but if she were on drugs or suffering from an untreated mental illness at the time, she may have genuinely believed they were kidnapping the child. I doubt it was from a place of malice and hate. A psychotic episode or manic episode could make someone act that way. Hopefully she recognizes it was wrong now and has gotten help.

[–]typhoidbeaver 25 points26 points  (5 children)

Myeah, I spent about 10 years tripping on Robitussin, within the first year I was absolutely unhinged and paranoid, assumed the worst about everything going on around me. As time went on, I kept getting more and more out of touch with reality. I stopped cold turkey about a year and a half ago, and I would hope no one thinks my former self is part of my actual personality.

[–]Ignitus1 14 points15 points  (4 children)

Holy shit 10 years? Did you do it every day?

[–]typhoidbeaver 27 points28 points  (3 children)

Yep. Usually twice a day. When I was 19 I was in the Air Force and everyone had to get their wisdom teeth removed. After the procedure, they gave me a big bottle of Vicodin. Prior to that, I had never been high or taken so much as a sip of alcohol. I was as straight edge as can be. So this was the first time I had ever been NOT sober, in my life! They didn’t give me a refill, so … I did a bit of internet research to find any kind of substitute.

It started with these pure DXM cold gels I got at the on-post commissary. Pretty soon, I felt like it was getting excessive, and the employees would get suspicious of me purchasing these bottles on a near daily basis. So I began going off-post to find alternatives, which is when I discovered cough syrup. That was SO DIFFICULT to get down on account of the taste. 🤢 I did that for a month, tops, until I tried Coricidin HBP Cough & Cold. I stuck to that for at least 8 years solid. It is a box of 16 pills. While my tolerance did increase in the very beginning, eventually it only took a box and a half (24 pills) to get right where I wanted to be. And that is where I stayed for the duration of the habit.

It’s a strange habit. I wouldn’t say I was addicted, I think it was more of a ritual. It stops being hallucinogenic VERY quickly. I would guess within the first two months. After that, it only detached me from reality, made me unemotional, and additionally suppressed my appetite. I’m a chick who enjoys being very skinny. I honestly do miss that aspect of it, but being socially shunned for, like I said, an entire decade of consuming DXM - in hindsight, was not worth it. Being thin WAS nice. But I was so out-of-it that everyone would run far, far away once they spent even a little bit of time with me.

I’m 120lbs now and I still wish I was smaller … and to be clear, I am NOT sober, I only switched to drinking. Yet I have my family back in my life and even though I am struggling with my appearance, this is the happiest I’ve been in my life. So, I’ll take it!

[–]Ignitus1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Crazy stuff. I used to experiment with a lot of substances years ago, including DXM via cough syrup and Coricidin. The trip is quite intense, I can’t imagine doing it often. There’s a pretty heavy hangover too, you can definitely feel the effects linger into the next day.

I’m glad you have your family back, that’s important.

[–]MLein97 5 points6 points  (1 child)

If Robert Downey Jr. can become as loved as he is, anything is possible.

[–]Sleepybat7 15 points16 points  (7 children)

You realize she wasn’t mentally sound, right? Stop it.

[–]justsomechickyo 17 points18 points  (2 children)

I swear every time someone says they are glad she is doing better people bring this up to shit on her, like they've never done anything they might regret.....

[–]Count_de_Mits 17 points18 points  (1 child)

It's a result of a lot of redditors being hopeless, cynical misers and their insufferable need to post "gotcha" comments

It's why they keep attacking so many famous actors over any slights they can perceive

[–]SolomonBlack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can we get a threeboot of the Parent Trap?

[–]majnuker 2 points3 points  (1 child)

It better be named Freaky Saturday

[–]ossiangrr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Twist: this movie takes place in the hot dog finger universe.

[–]PrincipleInteresting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can we have Jody Foster in this one, to harken back to the original?

[–]amakusa360 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why Disney+ just lost 4 millions subscribers. Get some new ideas god damn.

[–]blingybangbang 8 points9 points  (3 children)

Lindsay Lohan still has a career?

[–]lk05321 3 points4 points  (2 children)

I also remember she picked up some horrible life altering disease that made her permanently fatigued. I hope it was cured, but may explain why she has been out for so many years.

[–]ryan30z 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Generally pounding hard drugs and alcohol for a decade is worse for your health than the chikungunya virus

[–]GuyMcGuy1138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imagine living in a reality where you magically change bodies for a day every 20 years. You’re also the only people in the world that experience it and it’s randomly coming and going throughout your life.

[–]clevariant 1 point2 points  (1 child)

it's done! It's over! It's finished!

[–]pastel_almond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AINT NO FUCKING WAY

[–]madmendude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really a shame what Jamie Lee Curtis has been doing with Lohan’s body since the first movie. I guess now that they switch back Lohan will have a lot of work to do to recover.

Edit: Lohan, not Logan

[–]furrybeast2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, this make me feel old. Absolutely no mention anywhere of the original 1976 version with Jodie Foster/Barbara Harris

[–]jeanlucriker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d be very surprised if Disney brought Lohan back into the fold, she’s not exactly the star she was expected to be.

But this could really revitalise her career and give it a final shot in the arm for a resurgence

[–]Jaxsdooropener 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobody asked for this

[–]X0AN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Add Ben Stiller so we can call it freaky naughty.

[–]J_House1999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The next one will star Lil Dicky and Chris Brown

[–]Che3eeze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmao I tjought maybe JLC was gonna hang it up after the 4 'Halloween' movies she just made that nobody asked for. Turns out it DOES get worse haha
