What are your thoughts on The Magnificent Seven (2016)?
I thought the Hateful 8 was pretty good. It was very “Tarantino-ey” but if you’re a fan of that, then even better
OP, is this in Missouri? I think I've been to this one recently!

The 2009 Star Trek reboot is the perfect example of how to jumpstart a franchise for a new audience.
Love this movie, still one of my favorites ever. Paced really well, never a dull moment, it’s just a super tight movie
The trick for this shark is to position yourself diagonally from him, as that will make it a lot easier to dodge his dashes. If you're directly to his side or above/below him, his dash+tail whip attack is too fast to dodge a lot of the times.
Well the Gedons only look like zombies, but they were all just experiments of the evil scientist, right? There wasn't anything to imply that someone could be "infected" like a zombie virus

Why does everyone hate The DaVinci Code?
Yeah I like the "Could be real" feeling from these kinds of movies. The Davinci Code tickles the same part of my brain as National Treasure.

FUCK YEAH MOLDY BREAD
Looking for some turn-based party RPGs, something I can sink 100+ hours into a save file with, and some moderate grinding and leveling up. I've avoided the newer Final Fantasies because they seem to have taken a step away from classic turn-based combat, but honestly I enjoy turn-based. I'm playing on PC so unfortunately I can't play any console exclusives

What are your thoughts on The World's End (2013)?
To be fair, Hot Fuzz does a ton of tropes as well, just cop movie tropes. And in defense of Shaun of the Dead, the movie did come out in 2004, and so a parody of a zombie movie was pretty novel at the time

What’s you’re nitpick that makes a really good film just shy of perfection?
Spoilers for the movie Train to Busan:
I agree with you with the overly sentimental parts that mar an otherwise good movie. In Train to Busan, at the very end, the main character ends up getting bitten by a zombie and starts to turn. Before this happens, he throws himself off of the train so that he doesn't become a zombie and attack his daughter, and while he's turning to a zombie, he's having a flashback to when his daughter was born and that scene is soooo damn corny and cheesy. Like the hospital room is a super stylized fully white room and the music swells while tears fill up his eyes, and I'm like "okay, that's a little too far, this is soap opera level flashback"
