I have completed 100% of it ( Yes, Everything ) . it's not worth playing because the Play as Anyone system is flawed. Sure the story concept makes it so that anyone is in danger and anyone can fight back, but it's not executed properly. Overall, it's a shit game.

I wouldn't say it's a shit game overall, personally.

I didn't complete 100% of everything, but I thought it was fun enough. I got the PS5 steelbook edition for like $30 and was happy with that. I do agree it isn't worth picking up for $60.

Anyone seeing this that is intending on picking this up, I suggest turning permadeath on (not sure that's what it is called in game, it's been a while). I don't think you can turn it off after you start, but it makes you way more invested in the characters you play as than if it were off.

I actually loved it, as I said before on this thread, that's a very underrated game, that game is just beautiful, like a GTA but far more interesting and less senseless violent, with better story and even a social message that I liked a lot.

I personally loved it. I believe it was much better than WD1 , and uncomparable to WD legion. But, that's My opinion on it, everyone is free to have their own.

I felt WD1 being dark in its story made the game so memorable. As it gave the game a sense of being 'real' and not just some staged theater. When I played WD2, I always had this "meme cringe" sitting in my deck, despite the high production quality and own legit story.

Reading that Watch Dogs Legion is then more lackluster is unfortunate. But it will be interesting nonetheless to check out the game at some point. Even when it's from an Ubisoft giveaway in a few years.

I enjoyed Watch Dogs 2 a lot, that's a very underrated game, that game is just beautiful, like a GTA but far more interesting, with better story and even a social message that I liked a lot.

Haven't tried the Legion one, but based on reviews, it seems like is not worth even trying.

I really enjoyed it, it's no WD2 but it's fun enough. A bit silly and over the top at times but the story was interesting enough that I finished on the uplay+ or whatever the hell it's called and then, when I cancelled my sub because its crap, I bought legion so I could finish the side missions

The only way I'll purchase this game on Steam is if it is discounted at 80% or more. Ubisoft is a POS for pricing this at $60 when it doesn't offer that much than its predecessors.

Original Watch Dogs was a solid base to build from, WD2 was - imo- a fantastic game, great (albeit cheesy) characters and a beautifully realised open world. Then they shat out this...

The Bloodline DLC for this game is better than the entire main game lol. The main game is fine if you wanna run around a really well detailed version of London and clearing out bases and stuff. The story suffered too much from the "play as anyone" gimmick. The feature is pretty impressive from a technical point of view but it makes any attempt at a decent story close to impossible.

It's funny because all I saw on the internet in the lead up to release was how people thought it was a fantastic idea to not have a main character. I had lost interest as soon as I learned of the mechanic. Eventually picked it up in a sale and hated it. It needs a main character

For me personally I really enjoyed them both. Both had great storylines although I felt like the first one tried to be a bit too dark whereas the second one really came up with a storyline that fit the characters.

I haven’t brought myself to play Legion, a friend told me not to play it because it ruined the franchise for him and that “it feels like a tech demo to show of a cool engine and they forgot to actually finish the game”

All epic ubisoft games have been shite, wildlands was alright breakpoint was garbage, watch dogs 2 was good 3 was garbage, ac oddessy was good and many enjoyed ac vallahala barley anyone talks and everyone agrees the game is a lot of bloat with shortest story, divison 2 shot itself in the food when they removed from steam... Far cry 6 was only in ppls memories coz of villian and no one talks about it. No one shared clips form the game like they did previous games. Epic game store is literal plague and a marketing black hole.

As someone who just played around 40% of it and put it down....it's not a great far cry. Felt really laborious and traversal wasn't that great. Boring map and missions.

I got it for 20 bucks so don't regret my time but for the love of god please don't pay full price.

I just Revisited the 1st Watch Dogs after being in Chicago earlier this month. Actually ended up enjoying my playthrough despite a slow and rough start. Game really picked up later on.

I know the 2nd was San Francisco and it was fun but i thought the city of Chicago was more fun to explore in the 1st one .

Anyone have any experience with this 3rd installment ? thoughts ? I might actually try this when it comes to steam

It's human pokemon. You get like 40(?) character slots and run around doing little repeatable missions so the randomly generated people join your team. I could spend hours trying to recruit a spy, a getaway driver, and a hitman just to inevitably do the next mission as a living statue with flatulence.

That's the only thing that's really new or fun, so if that doesn't interest you I'd pass. (But the dlc has Aiden, and Wrench, if your looking for some world building. If you do the DLC first you can even play the whole story mode as them)

Bad imo. The details you have seen in WD1 and WD2 are not in WD Legion. Oh, remember the hacks in WD2 (which are a lot more than WD1)? Gone. Remember the fun times when you could frame gangsters for cops and this results in big epic NPC fight? Gone. Of course, the AI will fight with another AI in WD Legion but it's a lot toned down and too simple.

It's just not worth it. Buy it when it's less than 20$ otherwise don't bother imo.

I still think she has good takes and genuinely cares about the topics she covers but she has started to really struggle to separate her kinda preaching, victimized attitude from her content and that just turns me off.

I'm a massive supporter of Trans rights but watching a Jim Sterling video these days can often be like watching someone desperately try to link every kind of injustice back to their own problems. I played the game, analyzed the Police AI and made comparison between 3 games.

It's not worth it. I feel like the talent we have seen in WD1 and WD2 was lost in WD Legion. It is a very toned down version of WD game.

60$ is a ridiculous price. It's worth 20$ at the very best.

It’s not a bad game, I played it through to the end and the thing about it that I liked was that you do kinda get attached to your characters, especially when they have great skills. When you lose them permanently it can be pretty devastating. That being said, I would have rather seen the continuing adventures of Marcus and company from Watch Dogs 2.

It is a very meh game. There is no real encouragement to play different people. Some people have zero value to them. And everyone is imminently replaceable so there isn’t any reason to feel attached to any character. So you end up doing the same thing for almost every mission, grab a guy with a drone and fly right to the point you need to be and do as much fighting as you need to from there.

I don't buy games from companies where you need an extra account to play the game, beside the Steam account. Even less now, after they shamelessly crawl back to Steam, after selling themselves to Epic Games. As much as I'd like playing the AC games (except 1+2), I boycott Ubisoft, as long as they don't at least remove their damned Uplay or Ubisoft Connect or how it is called.

Well, I do this since AC 3. Don't know how many years this is, though. May be already 10. And tbh, as someone whom likes RPGs, JRPGs, survival games, colony survival games and dungeon crawlers, I have more than enough to chose from games on Steam that don't need an second account, or have any DRM.

Looking at the comments, you would think an ubi executive personally assaulted them.

The game isnt the worst thing ive played. I liked vetting people for the skills they had and sometimes using john wick like characters on some missions and/or using old ladies to kick wholesale ass. One of the first games i got on ps5 and i think ill pick this up to mess around in it again.

This game is so full of potential that it never reaches. Like, it struck gold and then didn't bother mining a single nugget.

Play as any NPC, permadeath for all. And then they do nothing with that concept. Too scared to even have a character killed in a cutscene to force the player into losing their tried and tested favourite.
