The Workers' and Peasants' Red Army (Russian: Рабоче-крестьянская Красная армия; РККА, or Raboche-krest'yanskaya Krasnaya armiya: RKKA, frequently shortened in Russian to Красная aрмия; KA, in English: Red Army) was the army and the air force of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, and after 1922 the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. The army was established immediately after the 1917 October Revolution (Red October or Bolshevik Revolution). The Bolsheviks raised an army to oppose the military confederations (especially the various groups collectively known as the White Army) of their adversaries during the Russian Civil War. Beginning in February 1946, the Red Army, along with the Soviet Navy, embodied the main component of the Soviet Armed Forces; taking the official name of "Soviet Army" (Russian: Советская Армия (СА)/Sovetskaya Armija), until its dissolution in December 1991.
The Red Army is credited as being the decisive land force in the Allied victory in the European theatre of World War II. During operations on the Eastern Front, it fought 75%–80% of the German land forces (Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS) deployed in the war.

The Alexandrov Ensemble does not recognize MVD Ensemble as an "Red Army Choir" and has expressed indignation at the MVD Ensemble's claims of inheriting the Red Army Choir tradition. Although the MVD Ensemble was never associated with the Red Army in Russia during Soviet times, many Western audiences came to associate the MVD Ensemble with the Alexandrov Ensemble due to their similar repertoire and wearing of uniforms during performances.
Red Dead Redemption is an open world, western action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar San Diego and published by Rockstar Games. It was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles in May 2010. It is the second title in the Red Dead franchise, after 2004's Red Dead Revolver. The game, set during the decline of the American Frontier in the year 1911, follows John Marston, a former outlaw whose wife and son are taken hostage by the government in ransom for his services as a hired gun. Having no other choice, Marston sets out to bring the three members of his former gang to justice.
Red Dead Redemption is played from a third-person perspective in an open world environment, allowing the player to interact with the game world at their leisure. The player can travel the virtual world, a fictionalized version of the Western United States and Mexico, primarily by horseback and on foot. Gunfights emphasize a gunslinger gameplay mechanic called "Dead Eye" that allows players to mark multiple shooting targets on enemies in slow motion. The game makes use of a morality system, by which the player's actions in the game affect their character's levels of honor and fame and how other characters respond to the player. An online multiplayer mode is included with the game, allowing up to 16 players to engage in both co-operative and competitive gameplay in a recreation of the single-player setting.

Formed in 1928, The Red Army Choir is a performing ensemble that served as the official army choir of the former Soviet Union's Red Army. The choir consists of a male choir, an orchestra, and a dance ensemble. The songs they perform range from Russian folk tunes to Church hymns, operatic arias and popular music. During World War II, the choir gave over 1500 performances at both Soviet fronts, entertaining troops about to go to into battle, at gun emplacements, airfields, and in hospitals. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Red Army Choir has continued performing, entertaining audiences both inside and outside Russia. In 1993, the Red Army Choir became an item of pop culture by performing together with the Finnish cult band Leningrad Cowboys both in Helsinki, where they performed o...
This song, also known, in different variations, as "No Sir No", "The Spanish Merchant's Daughter", "The Dumb Lady", and "No, No, Not I" seems to have originated as a bawdy ballad in the seventeenth century. So, this week in Red Dead Redemption, it's poker night, as we play a few hands with Landon Ricketts and pals. Of course, it descends into a deadly gunfight, but that's just the Old West. That was how you said goodbye back then. It’s not all fatal card games this week - we also take the opportunity ...

On Dec. 4, just before Bon Iver took the stage at Pioneer Works, an old ironworks warehouse turned nonprofit arts and culture space, these prophetic words from Union Army officer Sullivan Ballou echoed off the Civil War-era brick walls: "Sarah, my love for you is deathless, it seems to bind me to you with mighty cables that nothing but Omnipotence could break; and yet my love of Country comes over me like a strong wind and bears me irresistibly on with all these chains to the battlefield." A week after writing those lines, Ballou was mortally wounded, dying for a cause in which he firmly believed. At first, these words struck me as disconnected from the evening's music. Bon Iver's new record, 22, A Million, feels so distant from the Civil War and the words of Sullivan Ballou. But there'...

This is the holy book of John, known as "The Gospel According to Saint John". The recording is dramatized, from the King James Bible. This is, in my opinion, the best and most beautiful recording of the King James Bible in existence. Thanks, blessings, honor, glory, and power to the most high God, who is the almighty creator and author of these books. For those who doubt the Biblical Christian worldview, please carefully examine the evidence set forth in the following documentaries: "Non-Christian Historical Evidence for the Existence of Jesus" by Chris White, "The Bible - The Word of God? - Extraordinary Claims Demand Extraordinary Evidence", "The Bible on Trial - Beyond A Reasonable Doubt", which is split into six ~10 minute parts, "A Lamp in the Dark - The Untold History of the Bibl...

Documentary looking at the process of rediscovering women's history, using the 1915 Glasgow rent strike as a focal point. Red Skirts on Clydeside charts the careers of Jean Ferguson, Mary Barbour and Helen Crawford Agnes Dollan through their involvement with the Glasgow rent strike, organised through the Women's Housing Association during the First World War. With a visit to the Women's Library revealing the lack of documentation on women's political activism, interviews with descendants of the campaigners provided a wealth of information and personal stories.
