What a difference a data makes. How the rate per 100,000 looked across England in the week to 1 October on Friday, before the glitch was found, and how it looked last night. See next tweet for caveats.

Agree. Estimated 12k+ excess deaths from non-COVID causes during first peak. Not mentioned in daily press briefings, not in daily pandemic death statistics, not mourned in the media - but the deaths from non-COVID causes are just as tragic a loss for their loved ones.

“One stop shop” diagnostic services in the community are needed to clear backlog Exactly what we discussed. The Charing Urology Clinic has been a huge success for 5 years.

Sometimes the little things bring the most joy. It has been a tough year, but I definitely would not have survived without being part of this amazing team: dedicated junior doctors working hard and selflessly on but also behind the front line💙

It’s today. I’d like to give a big shout out to all our public health colleagues who over the years have helped save thousands of lives and tackled health inequalities. Your contribution isn’t understood by all, but it’s amazing.

Very grateful for today, who confirmed that as a locum during the covid crisis I should have been paid in full for shifts missed due to covid sick leave. If you're in the same boat and got statutory sick pay or nothing at all, have a look at this
