      My thoughts exactly, I know he was said to be recovering from surgery in Korea but if I had to guess it was most likely done outside of the country. I wonder if they have the equipment there to be able to fly in surgeons or if they lack even that ability

      It's not the most friendly relationship in the world but they still are aligned together. Kim (or someone on his behalf) pretty regularly goes to China for visits. They're definitely friendly enough for him to either import a surgeon or go over there for surgery. He also mostly travels by train which would largely let him travel and recover at the same time.

          I'm kind of not even joking, since cutting edge computer equipment has export restrictions as it can be used in a wide variety of military hardware. North Korea is one of those countries where it's technically illegal to ship a graphics card.

                                                              I think there is a forced perspective but it’s not so much that. It’s the growing up without starving effect. Growth not stunted cause she’s gonna be one of the few in that country getting high quality food and plenty of it. Even her father is only 5’7 but looks a lot bigger when standing next to their own citizens. Put them next to people from South Korea or the U.S. and it’s gonna look a lot different.

She's also definitely been sold narratives of how the West operates similarly e.g., "We have political prisoners, but look at how America persecuted Julian Assange and Edward Snowden for telling the truth."

                                                                                            Kim Jong Un's whole domestic message is about providing a future for the children of the DPRK, he brings his daughter to these things as a way to convey that point.

While Kim only has his one full-blooded sibling, his sister, he has a few older half-sisters who logically could have taken over but weren't allowed to due to culture. For whatever reason, Kim seems to be breaking with tradition and has elevated his sister and is doing the same for his daughter.
