Which show starts as a 10/10, but ends as a 1/10?

I feel this way about Sons of Anarchy, cool when it was biker dudes doing biker dude stuff but when they went to Ireland, I don't even remember the premise but I kinda checked out at that point.

Best Swiss Army Knife vehicle?

Here to say, along with others, minivan..

My friends and family that aren't "in to" cars sometimes ask me what to get, and if they got any one or multiple kids, dogs, property, sports, etc, I say get a mini van. The best, lowest mile Honda or Toyota minivan, some years are better than other. Those that listen to me, thank me. Regularly. So easy to get stuff in and out of, quick, more car like, visibility, The v6 and hybrid ones are pretty quick. They don't handle bad. They are practical, not cool. But are very useful.

Ford maverick seems pretty versatile but I hear they are still a pain to get and Ford dealerships and reliability being what they are....... maybe not.

My company gives me a car to commute so I've been driving a 99 ls400 (going to town rig) and 99 RAV4 (dog parks, home depot, dump) for quite a while now and have been enjoying cheap car insurance and no car payments. Alas, I have decided to take my own advice and get the best Honda or Toyota mini van I can afford after I sell the LS and Rav4.

I think I've narrowed it down to 2015-16 Sienna's. I find the SE intriguing and want to drive both an SE and non to see if the little tweaks are worth it on the SE. I think it's cool they make a sport tuned minivan and I read there's a bunch of little handling changes they make to SE. I do really want carplay and automated cruise control, that pushes me to the newer, more expensive. Could add carplay, can't add adaptive cruise.

I have some decisions to make, might F around and go to Carmax.

What's my 99 LS400 worth?

Its wisco clean, for sure. I grew up in Riverwest, street parking makes the salt even worse. The K-member and such is all there, some light rust but nothing serious. Floors and rails are all clean. All the aluminum, trans, valve covers, etc, are dingy and pitted. I was thinking optimistically $7k maaaaybe $8 but that would have to be someone that is looking for one and this ticks all the boxes.

Car gets lots of looks, thumbs up, etc.

What's my 99 LS400 worth?

Thinking about selling my 99 LS400, trying to get an idea of what it's worth and figured I'd ask you folks. I know I am losing money but time to move on. Also, any feedback on best platform to sell this? FB, CL, AutoTrader? Not so much worried about top dollar, more about less hassle.

+200,000 miles, nicks and scratches here and there but really clean for Wisconsin. It's on Godspeed Mono RS coilovers, rides really nice for being low and our terrible roads. 18" wheels, tires should be changed this fall. Clean interior, no rips. Touch of fade on the wood steering wheel.

The bad
Cracked windshield ($200-$400 around here. I might replace it before selling if I feel that it's hurting the value)
Driver door lock solenoid (as we know, super common issue, debating digging into the today and cleaning it)
Everything else works perfectly.

Recently replaced parts (really rattling this off to refresh my memory)

timing belt, tensioner, etc
water pump and t-stat
PS pump and lines
Alternator, belt and tensioner
Pads rotors fluid change
fresh oil, ATF, filters, coolant flush
Pioneer double din with carplay amp 2 subs
18" TSW wheels, some "light curbage"

I recently inherited my dad's work truck, 93 rcsb chevy 2wd step-side. He was fixing it up, now it's my problem...... I've got too many projects at the moment so obviously, I wanna sell the only thing I have that's basically finished. I learned to drive in that truck, to much sentimental value so, trucks not going anywhere. Plus I have an FC rx7 "long term" project on the back burner.

Dad's truck is getting a cammed 5.3 w/ 4l80e on Terminator X. After I get that swap done, I have to then start body work. Wisconsin winters were not kind to this old work truck. Cab corners, rockers, fenders, rotted.

Passed the CTS-I Exam!

Congrats on passing and thanks for the info on your experience. I just started getting ready for CTS-I. I got a 79% on their practice questions so I'm hoping a few weeks with the book and more practice I will be ready. Tempted to pay for a membership just to get access to their CTS-I training material.

Sometimes, after a long day, yeah, 70 in the right two lanes. It's crazy how much passing I do with the cruise set at 70. Sure most folks are going around me but I'll still pass some dipshit in the left lane doing 68. I drive 60 miles each way, jig jagging in and out of traffic to do 5-10 over gets fatiguing. I am way more relaxed when I take it easy going home and the GPS added what, a minute, maybe two.

Insurance money guilt.

My partner got a life insurance policy a few months before she suddenly passed from a brain aneurism. We weren't married yet, only engaged. That policy was exactly enough to pay off the house we had just bought. Her folks could have kept that money. They didn't. They lost a daughter and bought me a house, I am forever grateful to them for that. This has taught me to make sure my finances and affairs are in order in case the same happens to me.

It's natural to feel guilt, I sure did. But friends and family reminding me that a situation like this is exactly why she got that policy. To protect her loved ones from any burden. Take that money and use it they way your partner would have wanted you to. Use it to get by while you recover. Then when you are back on your feet, grow that money into something. Build with it, it's what they would have wanted.

I have to regularly remind myself, she would want me to be happy. I'd be happier with her but am teaching myself slowly that I can be happy again. Nothing would piss her off more than seeing me continue to wallow, to never carry on.

What are you guys working on this weekend? Tell me about your project(s).

Finished re-spraying the front bumper on my 99 LS400. The Pearl white didn't color match well but the lower cladding, silver metallic, turned out real nice. Ended up sanding and polishing all the lights on the front of the car too, "while I'm in there." All new bulbs too, nice and bright. Also bled all brakes, pedal felt a little mushy, it's a little better now. Got all the old, nasty fluid out so glad I did it.

I've gotta get back to working on my other project, 93 RCSB Chevy truck, LS swap and body work but I think that's more of a fall/winter type of thing.

Poly g7500 API command for start and end meeting

Hey folks, looking for some Poly command-line API help. Is there a command that can start and stop meetings in the API other than navigating on the screen to the next upcoming meeting and then pressing select?

A little more detail.

We have numerous poly MTR (G7500, x30, x50, x52, etc) rooms company wide. Some of rooms have Kramer touch tablets and brains that we use for room controls to send commands to the Poly devices to navigate (up down left right select) Join and end meetings, etc. The Kramer tablet and brain work just like the remote would, it's pretty quick and seamless. The only problem I am having is with start and end metering.

There does not appear to be a start and end meeting command, only navigation to move the cursor to start or end meeting and hit select. This works ok as we can create commands that say, right right right, up up up and select so no matter where the cursor is the command will force it over to the top meeting and then press select. This is really buggy and slow. I combed through the API pdf, I see direct commands to answer and hangup INCOMING calls but nothing for starting and ending calendar meetings.

I'm kinda new to this, hoping I am missing something.

We run the latest firmwares on all our Poly.

98 ls400 p0330 and p0325 codes

It could be knocking, sensors doing there job. Check your plugs, maybe pull your injectors and have them cleaned/flow tested. Closed injector could cause a lean condition causing knock. Just a thought.

Hello I need some opinions

until this post I didn't know you could install after market push to start so I don't know. But I would be weary of messing with the column and related electrical. That's just me tho, do your research.

Steering shaft, are you guys running rag joints?

Ill keep this in mind, I love my old truck but if I could tighten up that steering wheel and firm up that brake pedal, I'd be happier. Then again, steering play, soft brake pedal and that distinctive door closing sound are what make the GMT400 so special.
