Vatican 2 was a really interesting read. Got it as a confirmation gift from the priest at my church but ignored it until later life. Read it about 10 years ago and was glad I finally did. I’m non-practicing these days but still identify as Catholic.

“he’s got lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll’s eyes. When he comes at ya, he doesn’t even seem to be livin’… ’til he bites ya, and those black eyes roll over white and then… ah then you hear that terrible high-pitched screamin’.”

All jokes aside… putting a Gaetz sign in your yard is pretty much the same as putting up a sign that says “I support kid fucking” so… keep fighting that fight, Republicans.

10,000? That’s a wildly conservative number. It’s easily closer to 750,000-1,000,000!

It’s a definite occasion where I’d looove to run around with a level. They’d probably kick me out though. :)

I mean, you can actually see the main balcony tilting.. which happens to also be the main floor or the home.

What’s fucked? Fiduciary duty is part of the package. You can’t be CEO & do whatever you want with your interests/shares. You have an obligation to your shareholders above all else.

It’s insanely infuriating to those of us that can, with our eyes closed. We get passed over because some incompetent hiring manager thinks they can hire it out for less to a guy that googled it 10 minutes before the test.

Right? I know that any time I’m in a store I’m visible on at least 3 cameras. I’d assume that everyone, even a run of the mill shoplifter knows this. The difference is that he/she doesn’t care.

For probably 99.5% of us, cameras don’t matter. We don’t steal because we aren’t human garbage. The other .5% doesn’t care.

Of course. I’m not trying to split hairs. Even for an owner. He knows he’ll make up that loss on the next case sold. It’s never worth it. Let it go. Any half-intelligent owner has a loss column in his books.

None. It would be low risk to try and get a look at the plate but if not… let it go. That’s my point. Not even a slightly higher paid manager should risk it.

You can’t possibly believe that putting yourself in harms way to stop theft, from your employer, is justifiable? Can you? You weren’t hired as a mercenary, were you?

I’m not trying to justify theft, that’s fucked. Putting yourself in the middle of it… for someone else… is.

It’s also not ok for the owner to kill someone over a case of beer. Deadly force to stop low level property crime is absolutely, 100%, not legal anywhere, even in Texas.

Loss prevention? Unless they have armed mercenaries in the store, loss prevention is a joke. No one should ever risk bodily harm, of any kind, for an item of merchandise. Period.

No employee/s should ever attempt to stop a shoplifter. It’s just not worth it and is why almost every retailer has a policy about this. Is your life/health worth a case of coors that belongs to your employer? Hell no.

Shoplifters know this.

So, shoot a kid in the back that’s yahoo’ing beer and catch a manslaughter charge? It’s best to just let them go.

Let them go but record the plate? Right? No retail employee should EVER put themselves in harms way for items being stolen from a company that doesn’t give a fuck about you.
