Crickets sound is the most typical and soothing sound of the forest sounds in summer. In this video you will listen in High-Fidelity audio the crickets chirping at night in summer to help you to sleep.
BTW, I give you useful information about crickets to break a mith: they chirp with their wings, not their legs! :-o
The sound emitted by crickets is commonly referred to as chirping; the scientific name is stridulation. Usually only the male crickets chirp, however some females crickets do as well. The sound is emitted by the stridulatory organ, a large vein running along the bottom of each wing, covered with "teeth" (serration) much like a comb. The chirping sound is created by running the top of one wing along the teeth at the bottom of the other wing. As the male cricket does this, he also holds the wings up and open, so that the wing membranes can act as acoustical sails. It is a popular myth that the cricket chirps by rubbing its legs together. For the second installment of my quest to make drone videos of different cities around the world, I made an aerial drone video of Nashville, Tennessee. Originally I had planned on shooting a video of San Francisco in January, but other circumstances changed that.
My brother Paul was diagnosed with a severe and aggressive form of cancer in late December. He was being treated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, so we went to visit him and ended up spending about a week in Nashville.
Paul loved flying things! I wish his health had been good enough to have a chance to fly my drone, but unfortunately it wasn't. I decided to make this video in his honor, with the hope that it would get some exposure and bring more visibility to their situation.
Paul passed away on January 20th. He is survived by his wife and four kids (the fourth in utero), and my hope is that those who see this video are moved to look into his life more. Dear friends of ours have set up websites for him, one about his life (http://www.livelikepaul.com) and one as a fundraiser for his family (http://www.lovelikepaul.com). Please visit both!
Paul's story is one of tremendous sadness, but also one of hope. We know that Paul is in a better place, and we hope and pray that we will meet him again someday. He went before us to get the party ready. ;-)

Game of Thrones
Game of Thrones is an American fantasy drama television series created by showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. It is an adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire, George R. R. Crickets sound is the most typical and soothing sound of the forest sounds in summer. In this video you will listen in High-Fidelity audio the crickets chirping at night in summer to help you to sleep.

The sound emitted by crickets is commonly referred to as chirping; the scientific name is stridulation. Usually only the male crickets chirp, however some females crickets do as well. The sound is emitted by the stridulatory organ, a large vein running along the bottom of each wing, covered with "teeth" (serration) much like a comb. The chirping sound is created by running the top of one wing along the teeth at the bottom of the other wing. As the male cricket does this, he also holds the wings up and open, so that the wing membranes can act as acoustical sails. It is a popular myth that the cricket chirps by rubbing its legs together. For the second installment of my quest to make drone videos of different cities around the world, I made an aerial drone video of Nashville, Tennessee. Originally I had planned on shooting a video of San Francisco in January, but other circumstances changed that.
My brother Paul was diagnosed with a severe and aggressive form of cancer in late December. He was being treated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, so we went to visit him and ended up spending about a week in Nashville.
Paul loved flying things! I wish his health had been good enough to have a chance to fly my drone, but unfortunately it wasn't. I decided to make this video in his honor, with the hope that it would get some exposure and bring more visibility to their situation.
Paul passed away on January 20th. He is survived by his wife and four kids (the fourth in utero), and my hope is that those who see this video are moved to look into his life more. Dear friends of ours have set up websites for him, one about his life (http://www.livelikepaul.com) and one as a fundraiser for his family (http://www.lovelikepaul.com). Please visit both!
Paul's story is one of tremendous sadness, but also one of hope. We know that Paul is in a better place, and we hope and pray that we will meet him again someday. He went before us to get the party ready. ;-)

Hop on a ferry to the nearby island of Mujeres and discover the area's pirate-past at Capitan Dulche's Maritime Museum. For a museum with a difference, pull on a mask and dive into the Museo Subacuatico de Arte. This underwater gallery consists of hundreds of life-sized eco-sculptures, many of which are based on Yucatan locals.
A day trip not to miss are the incredible ruins of Chichen Itza. This vast temple complex reached its peak around the 10th century and today is listed as one of the World's Seven Modern Wonders.

Travel Basecamp Martinique / Saint Lucia launches with an adrenaline-pumping day of racing traditional Yole sail boats. The adventure starts off the island’s east coast, an hour or so from Fort-de-France. Moving at high speeds and dangling precariously over emerald waters — these boats are designed to stay afloat only while in motion: in other words, if the boat stops, it sinks! Our teacher and pro-racer Jean-Yves Aglae teaches Basecampers the technical ins-and-outs of Martinique’s most popular sport (the Le Tour de Yoles Rondes is the largest sporting event on the island). The race culminates at the gorgeous and secluded “Oscar Island.” There, we kick back and enjoy the evening and massage sore muscles. What a way to start the trip: heart-pumping activity, gorgeous Caribbean waters, a crimson sunset — and a mouth full of sand for Basecamper Sarah. ;)

Mexico's Riviera Maya is situated on the Caribbean side of the Yucatan Peninsula. Stretching along the coast for over 60 miles, the Riviera Maya encompasses fabulous beaches, ancient Mayan ruins, and the spectacular island of Cozumel.
Just a half hour drive south of Cancun, laid-back Puerto Morelos is the northern gateway to the Riviera Maya. Continuing south, explore family-friendly beaches like Akumal Beach and Half Moon Bay.
Riviera Maya's largest town, Playa del Carmen has a distinctly European feel. Filled with boutique hotels, fine restaurants and designer stores, the town is a great base from which to explore the Riviera's other treasures.
From Playa del Carmen, hop on a ferry to the Island of Cozumel, part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. On the island's western side, Playa Palancar and the Chankanaab Marine Park offer calm waters which make exploring the reef a breeze, even for beginners. Above the waters, wildlife lovers can explore the island's mangrove, lagoon and coastal habitats at Punta Sur and Punta Celerain. The island offers plenty of rustic beach-side cantinas serving up cold cervezas and idyllic views.
For the best views of all, head back to the mainland to one of Mexico's first resorts, the 13th century ruins of Tullum. Sitting high on coastal cliffs the temples are the perfect place to greet the sun, just as Mayan kings did centuries ago.

For the second installment of my quest to make drone videos of different cities around the world, I made an aerial drone video of Nashville, Tennessee. Originally I had planned on shooting a video of San Francisco in January, but other circumstances changed that.
My brother Paul was diagnosed with a severe and aggressive form of cancer in late December. He was being treated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, so we went to visit him and ended up spending about a week in Nashville.
Paul loved flying things! I wish his health had been good enough to have a chance to fly my drone, but unfortunately it wasn't. I decided to make this video in his honor, with the hope that it would get some exposure and bring more visibility to their situation.
Paul passed away on January 20th. He is survived by his wife and four kids (the fourth in utero), and my hope is that those who see this video are moved to look into his life more. Dear friends of ours have set up websites for him, one about his life (http://www.livelikepaul.com) and one as a fundraiser for his family (http://www.lovelikepaul.com). Please visit both!
Paul's story is one of tremendous sadness, but also one of hope. We know that Paul is in a better place, and we hope and pray that we will meet him again someday. He went before us to get the party ready. ;-)
