    ‘The pandemic is a lesson in the shared vulnerability of our global society’. Our chair of council has written to the Prime Minister today to call for urgent support for countries currently tackling a worsening pandemic situation, such as India and Brazil.

    This flies in the face of the Sewell report’s assertion of ‘the onward march of minorities into positions of power and responsibility in medicine’ .. need to openly accept clear evidence of structural barriers to progression for ethnic minorities if we’re to achieve change in NHS

    If you want things to change as regards issues, variable outcomes, improve morale of staff etc? You have got to have decision making bodies represent the balance appropriately. Or else you are suggesting non-white equals “less qualified” And that is a load of cobblers
