Yup, I have. Torn mine (while playing tennis) in fall 2018 when I was 27.

Firstly, I know exactly how you're feeling, it's awful. So sorry that happened to you. It's definitely possible to come back. I would make sure you get the surgery and start PT. For now, all you can do is proof your living situation. Get a shower stool. Make sure to have a plan to keep a healthy diet. You're going to lose so much muscle in that leg, so keep the protein up to limit the atrophy.

Find a GOOD PT organization. I was lucky to be near a Power 5 university and a grad student and was able to go to their health services. Anyways, go to PT a lot, even an aggressive amount. I think I started at 2-3x per week, eventually 1x per week, for almost a year. It became part of my routine. Hopefully they give you massage and ice therapy as well, both of these were huge.

And when they assign you work to do at home DO IT. Do as much as you can (to the limit that they say). I didn't do as much as I should, and my left calf is (seemingly) forever weaker than the right.

All that being said, I am back to playing tennis! It took about 2 years for me to feel comfortable on a court again, but I could have gone after 1 year. I don't have the speed that I had before, but I'm still 90% as fast as pre injury id say! Feel free to DM with any questions. Good luck and hang in there
