hello! hope everyone here is well. i was wondering if you could explain how certain people under the nonbinary umbrella don’t claim the transgender label and others do. if someone doesn’t identify as their agab, does that not put them under the transgender identity by default? i’ve been questioning my identity lots and looking stuff up but i still feel rlly confused abt this. i hope this doesn’t come off as inappropriate. thank you so much, take care ! ⭐️

(Image ID: A diagram that reads ‘Transgender (Person)’ in a pink rectangle at the top. To the right, it says ‘Note: (Person) can be replaced by any noun that means person: man, by, woman, girl, postworker, teenager, etc’. Two dotted lines start at the ends of the pink rectangle and vertically cut the diagram in quarters. The very left, not underneath the pink rectangle, has a blue rectangle that reads ‘Binary (Person’ underneath it reads ‘Cis Man’ and ‘Cis Woman’ in two light blue rectangles. To the right of the blue rectangle and under the pink rectangle, it reads ‘Transgender Binary (Person)’ in a purple rectangle. Underneath reads ‘Transgender Man’ and ‘Transgender Woman’ in two light purple rectangles. To the right of the purple rectangle and underneath the pink rectangle, it reads, ‘Transgender Nonbinary (Person)’ in an orange rectangle. Underneath reads ‘Transgender Agender (Person)’, ‘Transgender Genderflux (Person)’, ‘Transgender Genderqueer (Person)’, ‘Transgender Bigender (Person), ‘Transgender Nonbinary (Person)’, ‘Transgender Genderfluid (Person), and ‘Transgender (Any Nonbinary Identity) (Person)’ in seven light orange rectangles. To the right of the orange rectangle, not under the pink rectangle, it reads ‘Nonbinary (Person)’ in a yellow rectangle. Underneath reads ‘Agender (Person)’, ‘Genderflux (Person)’, ‘Genderqueer (Person)’, ‘Bigender (Person), ‘Nonbinary (Person)’, ‘Genderfluid (Person), and ‘(Any Nonbinary Identity) (Person)’ in seven light yellow rectangles. End ID.)

I think people identify as trans or don’t due to their own relationship with their gender. This post talks about navigating being nonbinary and trans.

bisexualpositivity:

bisexuals of the blade 💜 ⚔️ 🗡

meaning: a solidarity movement made up of bisexuals who support all of our m-spec siblings, whether they’re pan, ply, omni, or beyond!

I’m really tired of following bi positivity blogs only to find out somewhere down the line that they’re part of an exclusionist group called the “battleaxe bis” (anti pansexual/polysexual/omnisexual/any multi-gender-attracted label that’s not ‘bi’), so I thought I’d try spreading a message of support and acceptance instead!

- FAQ -

what makes someone a ‘blade bisexual’?

all you have to do is acknowledge and uplift pan/ply/omni/etc. people!

are there any symbols we can use to signify we’re bi people who support other m-spec orientations?

yes! personally, I’ve been using the following:

  • sword (of any kind)
  • double/dual-wielded swords
  • purple heart
  • official flag (see above image)

I wholeheartedly support pan/ply/omni/etc. people. what can I do to join?

to show your support, put at least one of the previous symbols somewhere in your bio using emojis!

that’s everything I can think of! if you have any more questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! 🌈

queerhet flag design

queerhet is a label that includes, but is not limited to: when a hetero- person is in a queer relationship; an alternate term for heteroflexible/heterofluid; a person with a fluid orientation whose orientation includes hetero-; someone who is “straight now but not forever” or “straight but with exceptions”; someone who has both hetero- orientations and queer orientations (e.g. a heterosexual aromantic person); a hetero- trans/nonbinary person; a hetero- person in a polyam relationship; and any other variation of a hetero- person who is queer.

the flag is a combination of the queer chevron flag’s style and colours, with the straight flag’s monochrome colour scheme. the different shades represent the vast spectrum of experiences queerhet covers.

Geisthausia: A gender related to haunted houses, ghosts, and death.

From German Geist - ghost/spirit; Haus - house.

Geisthausia flag - the colours and design are evocative of a house-shaped structure, surrounded by night-time colours. The blues also represent spirits and ghosts, and the reddish colours represent the haunted house and the dead who inhabit it.

Don’t feel forced to use a certain label

[ID: Three images with black text on a white background.

Image 1: The large text reads “If you find a label…” at the top and is followed by examples spread out across the rest of the image in a smaller font:

“Demiromantic, Nonbinary, Queer, Greysexual, Polyamorous, Transgender, Lesbian, Aromantic, Genderqueer, Asexual, Pansexual, Bisexual, Gay.”

Image 2: Continuing from the first image, the large text continues, “…that you fit the definition of….” and is followed by more examples again in smaller text, some of which go partically offscreen and are cut off:

  • Identifying with a gender other than the one assigned at birth
  • A nonspecific label for LGBTQ+ people
  • A person who does not experience sexual attraction
  • Who experiences attraction regardless of gender
  • A man who is attracted to men
  • A person who experiences… multiple partners
  • A person who rarely experiences sexual attraction
  • Identifying outside of the gender binary
  • Woman who is attracted to women
  • A person who does not experience romantic attraction
  • Person who only experiences romantic attraction with someone they are close to
  • A person who is attracted to those of two or more genders

Image 3: The large text finishes,

Labels are supposed to be a comfort, not a prison.” END ID]

Omni-: Attraction towards all genders, but may not see them as the same and can distinguish each gender as different, and appreciate them as different. Different from pan-, but can be used as interchangeable.

A member of the aegosexual community helped “pretty up” the flag (make things more even and what not) and this person gave this suggestion for what each color means. We will be using this from now on when someone asks about the colors for this specific flag (right now there’s 3 aegosexual flags floating around).

Colors from top to bottom:

  • Purple for community
  • Gray for the entire spectrum of asexuality
  • Teal for disconnection between self and attraction
  • Black for asexuality

I’m very attached to the current one, but I find the color variation in this one super pretty and I really like it too.

idea: use this flag’s colours with the og flag’s inverted triangle design (which i very much like bc Symbolism) - the top flag is what i propose as the Official Flag [of this idea, not saying the Official Flag of the aego- community as a whole!], the second one just reverses the coloured stripes since the top one looks very similar to the aegorose flag if the purple & green were slightly different shades. thoughts?

This comic from Lilo the Autistic Queer (@A_Silent_Queer on Twitter) made me smile today. There is no one way to look trans, and no one way to transition. However you choose to express your authentic self is good and doing what makes you happy regardless of what cis people think is good.

[ID: three images drawn by a_silent_child. The first is titled “When people talk about transition, I often see…”, showing a drawing of two people facing the viewer. The man on the left is thin, has light skin and a beard, and is neatly dressed in a button-down and jeans. Arrows point to him and say ‘binary trans man’ and ‘he/him pronouns’. The woman on the right is thin, has light skin and is wearing a pink dress. Arrows point to her and say ‘binary trans woman’ and ‘she/her pronouns’. Arrows point to both of them and say ‘had HRT’, ‘multiple surgeries’ and ‘cis passing’. Underneath it reads “And it’s not wrong. They are trans.”

The second image is titled “But let’s get something clear…”, showing two people, one facing the viewer and the other looking to the left. The person on the right is fat, has dark skin, and is wearing a purple shirt that says ‘autistic & cute’ and galaxy-patterned leggings. Arrows point to him and say ‘likes to be called ‘cute’‘, ‘had top surgery’, ‘doesn’t want HRT’, and ‘socially transitioning’. A label reads ‘he is also trans’. The person on the left is thin, has brown skin, and is wearing a crop top and shorts. Arrows point to her and say ‘can’t afford HRT’, ‘socially transitioning’, ‘doesn’t like dresses’, and ‘likes having a penis’. A label reads ‘and her’.

The third image shows three people, two looking towards the viewer and one looking to the left. The person on the right is thin, has light skin, and is wearing dark jeans with chains and a fishnet-style crop top that reads ‘happy thoughts’. Arrows point to zir and say ‘wants HRT’, ‘wants breasts’, and ‘not a woman’. A label reads ‘and zir’. The person in the middle has brown skin, is thin, is wearing a red jumper and blue jeans, and is using crutches. Arrows point to them and say ‘socially transitioned’, ‘uses they or fae pronouns’, and ‘not a woman’. A label points to fae and the person standing next to them and reads ‘and them too.’ The person on the left is fat, has brown skin, is wearing a floral-patterned yellow dress and has a beard. Arrows point to them and say ‘wants bottom surgery, but not top’, ‘feels pretty with a beard’, and ‘uses she or they pronouns’. End ID]

probably-bxyflux:

A New Term: Bxyflux

(A few notes before I start: a lot of credit for this goes to @xeno-aligned for answering my anon ask and introducing me to the term bxy!! Also idk if this even counts as coining a new term bc I just added a suffix but I searched it up on tumblr and google and got absolutely 0 results. I don’t even know how to coin terms lmao. Lastly tell me if you think this term describes you!! I’d love to hear from people)

What does bxyflux mean?

This term combines the root word “bxy” and the suffix “-flux”

Bxy: A gender that is both boy and agender/no gender. You can be a boy and agender/no gender at the same time, go between them, or fluctuate between feeling male and not feeling gender

-flux: in terms of gender, it means fluctuating in intensity

Therefore bxyflux is a gender that is both male and agender and fluctuates in intensity. Pretty simple right?

There are a whole lot of ways this could be applied, so I’ll use myself as an example. I personally feel completely male and also partially agender, but the agender part varies in intensity (the male part may also vary in intensity but I’m not sure). Someone else who uses the term bxyflux could go between being male and agender (not either at the same time) while also having the intensity of both or one those genders fluctuate in intensity.

Is there a flag?

Yes! I made this one I think looks pretty cool but give me any criticism you can think of!!

image

(id: flag with 5 horizontal stripes, which from the top down are dark grey, blue, white, green, and dark grey)

The blue represents male, the green represents agender, and the black and white represent the varying intensities of the genders.

I think that’s it!! There can be gxrlflux too, but I don’t have a flag for that unfortunately. Thanks for reading 💕
