there is no „gender trinary". the idea of “male + female + nonbinary” as 3 distinct, static categories that every person is boxed into doesn’t work, because nonbinary is not one singular, static gender. nonbinary is a thousand different genders and nongenders and everything and anything, and including it in this idea of a conformist, controlling trinary just cannot work due to the very nature of nonbinary itself.

atrinary references the masculine/feminine/neutral trinary, not male/female/nonbinary

ok, i didn’t know that, thanks!
but my point still stands - there is still no gender trinary - in real life, no one is put into a box labelled ‘neutral’. and neutral is a way of being nonbinary, so yeah, my opinion is the same

Yellow: Different ADHD individuals experiences with gender and with ADHD

hey uhh this is super similar to the aboriginal australian flag, would you consider redoing it? (just changing the colours would be fine!)

Can these be used by non-human system members too?

yes of course! they can be used by anyone!

kizzyveshkriset replied to your post “how would you define femme[oriented]? attraction to femmes, the same…”
being femme doesnt equal femininity, so it definitely needs its own thing; but as someone who identifies with the label less and less im not sure what it should be

youre right about femme =/= femininity, that was just one definition that ive seen (also general “attraction to women” which. criminal misuse of the word ‘femme’ there). i think… femme is such a nebulous word that any term that uses it is also gonna be nebulous, which. is difficult when you’re just looking for a simple definition :’)

A member of the aegosexual community helped “pretty up” the flag (make things more even and what not) and this person gave this suggestion for what each color means. We will be using this from now on when someone asks about the colors for this specific flag (right now there’s 3 aegosexual flags floating around).

Colors from top to bottom:

  • Purple for community
  • Gray for the entire spectrum of asexuality
  • Teal for disconnection between self and attraction
  • Black for asexuality

I’m very attached to the current one, but I find the color variation in this one super pretty and I really like it too.

[id: the aego- pride flag design, four stripes with an inverted triangle in the centre, coloured indigo and teal instead of purple and green. the first flag has the indigo at the top and the teal at the bottom, the second flag has it the other way round. end id]

idea: use this flag’s colours with the og flag’s inverted triangle design (which i very much like bc Symbolism) - the top flag is what i propose as the Official Flag [of this idea, not saying the Official Flag of the aego- community as a whole!], the second one just reverses the coloured stripes since the top one looks very similar to the aegorose flag if the purple & green were slightly different shades. thoughts?

I really like incorporating those colors and top one! I like the way it’s presented and the inverted triangle is very important to me. While traditional “ace colors” are super important to me, having aego colors too is an idea I really like.

I’ve had the traditional aego flag as my header and icon for 3 years now, would it be okay if I use the top one as my icon?

it would be totally ok! I’m glad you like it so much!

We made one: Ambivaic!

ambivaic is cool, but not really what i’m looking for? i’m not talking about gender preference; i’m talking about “attraction to x gender feels different than attraction to y gender”, not “i’m attracted to x and y genders but i prefer x gender”

Anonymous asks:

do you have any good resources for lists of genders? i have a very specific thought of what my gender might be and i SWEAR ive seen one similar to it but i cannot find it

neopronouns:

i really like this ‘gender jargon’ masterlist from @gender-resource, it’s divided into categories and fairly comprehensive! you could also go to @lgbtqiarchive or @variant-archive and use the search function to look for certain criteria - these aren’t lists, but they do have a lot of mogai terms archived and typically update daily!

There’s a couple of lists of genders here and here! (tho probably not very updated sadly)

neopronouns:

variant-archive:

Still have no clue how to coin the “boy that is not male or a man” gender and the girl version. It’s like… boy but not M. It is explicitly not a binary gender, it’s kind of like enboy, but explicitly stating that their gender is pleonotic (which means using gender terms but not all of their synonyms, e.g. female but not girl or woman, nonbinary but not enby, things like that)

i believe the girl/woman versions of this are already coined - quella and qupha - but correct me if i’m wrong!

you could also look into verella & eramen…? maybe not quite the same, but close?

azelmainblog replied to your post “maybe don’t put the upright pentagram on a flag for an identity…”
Honestly surprised someone got offended over it

i mean if a lot of people are offended by it or it just makes them uncomfortable or whatever then i’ll happily change it, its just that pagans don’t have a monopoly on the pentagram (upright or not)
