Here's my take on custom Joy-cons themed after every Nintendo Home console!
I still whole heartedly believe that Nintendo needs to do what Microsoft did with the controller lab and let us custom design a switch. Bring back the atomic colors, let us use Nintendo characters and so on. Charge an extra $100, people will pay it.

It's not Nintendo, but if you're really willing to spend that much, you can do it on Colorware.
Are these OEM joy-cons? I was considering picking up a pair but didn’t want to waste money if the controllers were shitty off brand
Yeah that’s part of the reason they’re so expensive, you’re buying a new set of joy cons + the mods

Nah, they're definitely manufactured by Nintendo. But I am genuinely curious because I have never seen them, besides the hori dpad joycon, do "shitty off brand" joycons even exist? If they did, I am sure they'd be on sale for customers rather than just bought by companies such as colorware and I have yet to come across a pair for sale.
I browsed the site and saw that they sell a whole package with the dock and the console, not just controllers, so I'm lead to believe this all OEM stuff.
It is OEM stuff, just disassembled and painted, at that they do an amazing paint job!
They do have a lot of cool stuff... but for a switch with no dock it seems and a pro controller that looks like a Nintendo 8bit.. would be 3 weeks to make and almost 800$.. ouch...

I would definitely pay an extra $100 for an atomic orange, green, or purple Switch.
Check Colorware then! They're pricy, but they do really cool stuff (aftermarket mods, of course)
Pay an extra 30 and do it yourself! Very simple if you take your time, they sell kits on amazon
Sadly I don’t want to pay over the odds for Joycons until Nintendo fix the drifting issue. I’ve never had problems like this with any console I’ve owned for 20 years, always look after my stuff. But this drift problem is ridiculous. I’ve used contact cleaner, but it still comes back. Very poor for them only being 15 months old.
Friend of mine had that issue. He had to pop stuff off and clean away dust and what not under the sticks.
