Conference Embargo Policy

In the case of AIDS 2014, as with most scientific/medical conferences, all conference abstracts are released to delegates under a strict embargo policy. Read the embargo policy


Affiliated Independent Events

Other meetings, symposia, forums or events organized for conference delegates outside the conference venue by other organizations are referred to as Affiliated Independent Events. They are held during times that do not conflict with the conference programme.

ICASO, in partnership with the Interagency Coalition for AIDS and Development (ICAD), launched "StepWise: The Community Guide to AIDS 2014", an online hub for information related to AIDS 2014.

In partnershp with the broadcasting company WebsEdge, the conference provided an on-site AIDS 2014 TV channel featuring programme highlights and interviews.

News Reports by NAM

NAM offered news stories on major scientific presentations and hosted online discussion forums for HIV implementers. NAM also published a free daily news bulletin in English and translated into French, Portuguese, Spanish and Russian.

July is flu season in the Southern Hemisphere and it is possible that you may have been exposed to flu while attending AIDS2014. We have been made aware that a number of delegates may have been diagnosed with influenza A - which is the main circulating strain of flu currently in Melbourne. Delegates who are ill with flu-like symptoms, such as fever or cough, should seek medical attention.
