Umar revolves around three senior citizens.. Iqbal [Kadar khan] Chandrakant [ Prem Chopra] and Rajpal [Satish Kaushik] who live in london with their families. Insensitively treated by their children, all three are humiliated and insulted all the while. Enter Shashank [ Jimmy Shergill] who has grown up to respect his elders. treating the senior citizens with affection and respect, Shashank quickly wins a place in their hearts. Shashank falls in love with Sapna [ Shenaz Treasurywala], who happens to be the daughter of a rich businessman [ Shakti Kapoor], But Sapna's dad does not approve of this relationship because of Shashank's status. Shashank gets falsely framed for the murder of his lady boss. the court finds him guilty and puts him behind bars. shocked manages to escape, but is shot in the process. Shashank is given shelter in Iqbal's house, but when Chandrakant and Rajpal's children find out about this, they complain to the cops, hoping to win a reward in the process. to avoid any unpleasantness between the senior citizens and their respective families, Shashank decides to leave. Instead, all three walk out with Shashank. how the senior citizens clear Shashank's name forms the remainder of the story.

Umar (Arabic: عمر ابن الخطاب, Transliteration: `Umar ibn Al-Khattāb, Umar Son of Al-Khittab, c. 586–590 CE– 7 November 644), also known as Omar, Farooq the Great was the most powerful of the four Rashidun Caliphs and one of the most powerful and influential Muslim rulers in history. He was a sahabi (companion) of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. He succeeded Caliph Abu Bakr (632–634) as the second Caliph of Rashidun Caliphate on 23 August 634. He was an expert jurist and is best known for his justice, that earned him the title Al-Farooq (The one who distinguishes between right and wrong). Under Umar the Islamic empire expanded at an unprecedented rate ruling the whole Sassanid Persian Empire and more than two thirds of the Eastern Roman Empire. His brilliantly coordinated multi-prong attacks against the Sassanid Persian Empire resulted in the conquest of the Persian empire in less than two years. His legislative abilities and firm political and administrative control over a rapidly expanding empire marked his reputation as a great political and military leader. It was Umar, who for the first time in 500 years since their expulsion from the Holy Land, allowed Jews to practice their religion freely and live inside Jerusalem.[citation needed]

Maulana Tariq Jameel (Urdu: مولانا طارق جمیل) (born 1953) is an Islamic scholar from Pakistan. His native town is Tulambah near Mian Channu. His father was an agriculturist who belonged to the Muslim Rajputs community.[citation needed]
Tariq Jameel was born and raised in Mian Channu. In his childhood he lived a relatively modest life but religion was not a major part of his life and his family in particular. It wasn't until he pursued his M.B.B.S. in Lahore that his focus shifted towards Islam. After completing his Higher Secondary School education (a.k.a. F.Sc in some regions of Pakistan) in pre-medical (equivalent to A 'levels') from Government College, Lahore, he took admission in King Edward Medical College in Lahore. He intended to do his M.B.B.S., but he soon switched to Islamic education. He then went on to receive Islamic education from Jamia Arabia, Raiwind (near Lahore), Pakistan where he studied Quran, Hadith, Sharia, Tasawwuf, logic and Fiqh.[citation needed]
His proclivity towards Islam grew during hostel life in Lahore and can mainly be attributed to the group members of Tablighi Jamaat who he became friends with during his college life.[citation needed]

When Alif arrived at Pondok Madani, His heart sank even further.The Plase is depressing for him and feels like prison. It was worsened by many strict school rules and fact that he had to step a grade down to adapt the new system. Along the way Alif grow closer with his roommates, Baso from Gowa, Atang from Bandung, Raja from Medan, Said from Surabaya, and Dulmajid from Madura. The six of them are often seen and hang out near mosque tower and eventually known as the "Sahibul Menara" or the tower owners. Things are not like Alif expected. He starts to see how the school introduce him with new and modern ideas. Alif was inspired by the spirited shouts of Ustadz: "Man Jadda Wajada". A Phrase which means "he who gives his all will surely succeed. this 'Mantra' motivated the six students to have big visions on their life. All of them made promise under the tower that one day, they will go to places that they have been dreaming about. Alif wish to go to America, Atang wish to go to Egypt, Baso wish to go to Mecca, Raja wish to go to England, and Said and Dulmajid wish to travel all over Indonesia.

The Rosetta probe will be crash-landed on Comet 67P on Friday 30 September, the European Space Agency has confirmed. The manoeuvre, which is expected to destroy the satellite, will bring to an end two years of investigations at the 4km-wide icy dirt-ball.
