O ye who believe! Be mindful of
Allah and be with the truthful.

The seventeenth
Majlis e
Shura of the
Ahmadiyya Community in
Germany is being held at the moment in
Hamburg which will
God willing convene for 3 days. It was their wish that I address them on this occasion along with the
Belgium Jamat in this [inaugural] session [of their sixth
Jalsa Salana]. Similarly the Shura of Jamat Ahmadiyya
Sweden is being held today. Now this system of Majlis e Shura in the Ahmadiyya Community is also growing and spreading. It is indeed my endevour to establish this system of Shura [consultation] according to the old traditions of the centre so as to control different and distinct ways [from emerging] in every place.
The Agenda of the Shura of the Ahmadiyya Community in Germany is such that it requires exceptional funds. I cannot go into the detail of the limit of their financial capabilities but
I am certainly under the impression that God has granted an extraordinary amount of provisions to those I have in sight. If they all offer their share of the Wasiyyat then it is impossible that the Ahmadiyya Community in Germany would face financial difficulty. So make it a
point to consider this issue. Financial issues should be discussed in particular in the Majlis e Shura today and assure me that all the Programs you have made have been made according to the financial capacity or else these Programs would have to be toned down a little.
As far as Sweden is concerned in addition to a message of prayers the Jamat in Sweden have removed many of the old quagmires and it is hoped that the Jamat in Sweden would proceed towards success faster than ever before
.
In the previous sermon I had counselled the Jamat to run away from the bad but run in which direction? In this relation it is commanded that كُونُوا مَعَ الصَّادِقِينَ ['be with the truthful']. According to certain Ahadith of the
Holy Prophet ﷺ the angels of God keep company in the sessions of
Divine commemoration and Allah mentions them among the Cherubim.[1] How can those who are frequented with angelic descent through keeping such company ever bear to attend to the company of the bad even for a moment? So never entertain the thought that the pious can ever comprehend [keeping] company with the bad. In another narration a Companion asked '
What is the best company to sit among?' The
Noble Prophet replied '
The company of the person who when they are seen, God is remembered'.[2] How can those who frequent such gatherings ever sit in sessions which remind of
Satan? In another Hadith:
Narrated Anas:
The Prophet ﷺ said 'Whoever possesses the following 3 qualities will feel the sweet delight of faith: (1). The person to whom Allah and His
Apostle becomes dearer than anything else. (2). Who loves a person and loves them only for Allah's sake. (3). Who hates to revert to disbelief after Allah has rescued them out from it, as they hate to be thrown in fire.'
(Bukhari,
Muhammad ibn Ismail. '
Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī').
The Noble Prophet would recite the prayer of the Prophet
David (
peace be upon him) in the love of Allah:
Abu Darda relates that the Holy Prophet ﷺ said 'Of the supplications of David was 'O Allah! I beg
Thee Thy love and the love of those who love Thee and such conduct as should lead me to Thy love, Allah! Make Thy love dearer to me than my soul and my family and dearer than cold water.'[3].
This prayer is in the singular. When the Holy Prophet ﷺ would make this supplication his true followers are in fact included in his person.
Whenever I make this supplication I always do so in the singular
Inni out of respect, you should do the same but along with it supplicate to God that as He included the Communities of the
Prophets in this prayer so He may include our associates, our kin and the friends we love or those who love us. Through the love of
Allan all the purposes of your life would be fulfilled.
The Promised Messiah (peace be on him) has shed light upon the various meanings of كُونُوا مَعَ الصَّادِقِينَ. Tie the lesson of كُونُوا مَعَ الصَّادِقِينَ to your hemlines today.
Today it is the age of knowledge and we are to teach knowledge all over and كُونُوا مَعَ الصَّادِقِينَ is also a way to do that. May Allah the Almighty enable us to do that.
