Amitabha Stupa in Sedona Arizona
Built in Sedona Arizona this Stupa was initiated by Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo, the spiritual director of the Kunzang Palyul Choling Tibetan Buddhist centers. It is graced with a bronze image of Amitabha, the Buddha of Limitless Light, and is filled with hundreds of millions of prayers for peace, sacred relics and ritual objects. It is a beacon of light and virtue and is considered a vortex of Enlightened Presence, radiating waves of compassion to all beings. You don't have to be a Buddhist to visit it. People from every tradition are welcome to meditate and pray for themselves, loved ones and for the end of suffering in the world. It is traditional to make offerings at a stupa. According to the Buddha, any contribution to build or maintain a stupa is considered extremely auspicious, ensuring a lasting connection to one's future enlightenment. DIRECTIONS: From Highway 89A, take Andante north to Pueblo, turn left.
