A pedestrian was transported to the hospital with major injuries after being hit by vehicle in the area of Monarch Drive and Byway East early Friday morning, according to Napa Police.
Michael Dean Green, 54, of Napa was reportedly in critical condition as of 11:10 a.m., according to a hospital spokesperson.
Green was hit while on foot at 2:16 a.m. Friday and taken to Queen of the Valley Medical Center.
The driver of the vehicle left the scene and has not been identified by police.
The area around Monarch Drive and Byway East was shut down for six and half hours while the Napa Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team and Crime Scene Specialists processed evidence at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the incident haven’t been determined.
