Madagascar is the world's fourth largest island and is home to a diverse landscape from lush jungle to spiny forest, colourful towns to idyllic beaches, orchards and vineyards to savannah. It is also home to many unique animals including 11 species of lemurs, raccoons, marmots, 3,000 indigenous species of butterfly and previously undiscovered coral and fish.
Your sailing adventure will start from the island of Nosy Be, situated in the North of Madagascar in the Mozambique Canal Waters. Explore the rich waters and pristine reefs of these beautiful islands and catch a glimpse of Sting and Manta rays, harmless whale sharks, and even humpback whales as they migrate past the islands from July to October. You'll discover the myriads of fish and turtles around Nosy Tanikely; the truly stunning island of Nosy Iranja; and the deserted beaches and enormous coral reef north of Kalakajoro. What's more enroute you will enjoy the unique customs and wonderful hospitality of the charming Malagasy people.

Between June and November, the prevailing tradewinds come from the north-east (L'Avarabe) and the south west (Talio) in the afternoon. Temperatures average a pleasant 25C, with sea temperatures reaching up to 30C in the summer.
Air France fly directly to the capital Antananarivo from Paris. There are then internal flights on Air Mad to Nosy Be Fascene Airport.
