For yacht charter in Croatia the skipper must have RYA Day Skipper Practical certificate or RYA ICC qualification. This area suits experienced sailors who want longer passages between unspoiled islands. During the summer months there are steady afternoon breezes from the north-west averaging Force 3–5 dying down at night. Experience level 2. In summer, the mean temperature is between 24°C/75°F and 26°C/79°F along the coast.

Mooring charges do apply and can range from between €30 and €90 per night depending on location and the size of yacht. Alternatively there are numerous protected anchorages.

Pula has its own international airport which allows for direct flights and connecting flights via other european cities, however it is also easy to access this region from Italy.

7 Day
DAY 1 : Embark at Pula. Marina Veruda is a modern marina right in the center of this historic city.
DAY 2 : Sail south to the island of Losinj. The main harbor, Mali Losinj (34nm) is a pretty harbor with bustling, noisy bars, clubs and restaurants. If you visit in the spring, go to the Aromatic Gardens. There are multiple beaches to choose from, so you are bound to find the perfect one for you.
DAY 3 : Further south the island of Ist (26nm) is shaped like a bow-tie and offers a very popular sheltered anchorage. Ist is part of the northern Dalmatia islands. This is a idyllic little fishman’s town.
DAY 4 : Heading north-east, be sure to visit Rab (30nm). The western side is well protected from the bora wind and the main town of Rab has many historic buildings.
DAY 5 : Sail round the southern tip of Cres to Osor (22nm) which lies at the canal separating the islands of Cres and Losinj. The bridge opens twice a day to let yachts pass through the canal.
DAY 6 : Due north on the mainland Luka Knica (21nm), just to the west of Zaljev Rasa. This is a picturesque, sheltered bay for an overnight anchorage at the end if your cruise.
DAY 7 : Sail along the coast of the Istria peninsula back to Pula (18nm).
