I’m surprised at how many people don’t care tbh. I thought was great info, much appreciated!!

For all you sweaty gym bros out there: the steam also gets rid of deodorant stains from the pits of your shirts. You’re welcome.

Ignore it. Give it a month. It will be stained, sweated on, crinkled etc. and you won't remember the imperfections of day 1.

I mean the bench is 20+ years old and pretty used as it is. Still looks great.

They stay in good condition if you have it stored inside and wipe it down after using it. I just like to go the extra mile

If I was thinking of buying this bench, those dents wouldn't make any difference. Cosmetic.

Definitely understand where you’re coming from

But for me, I come from nothing but used rag tag hand-me-downs. All I want is to have equipment that doesn’t look like it’s been sitting in a garage rusting for 25 years hahahaha I’m a bit obsessive about cosmetic stuff like that.

Yea I’d just use it as is, my current one need recovering 😂

Heat gun or hairdryer on hot setting will also do the trick. just keep them moving to avoid burning surfaces.

Maybe even try it with a thick towel over top a few times first. (immediatly remove towel after heating to check and so it dosen't fuse/imprint in anyway)

I just figure it's a weight bench, don't worry about it, and keep it moving. It will get abused by resting weights on it and possibly used for doing step ups.

After taking to google, and following my query with “Reddit” hoping to find a post in a Reddit page on how to get dents out of weight bench padding, I discovered that there hardly was anything on the internet about this. So I’ve decided to write my own post.

I highly appreciate people like you.
