Right on the Queen Victoria Market’s doorstep at the corner of Queen and Therry streets, the development will include:
- 120 place childcare facility
- maternal child health and family services centre
- community meeting spaces
- affordable apartments
- 500 underground car parks for market customers
- event spaces
- 2500m2 of new open space and laneways
- boutique hotel
- apartments for long term rental
- complementary hospitality and retail stores.
We’re on track to deliver the market car park in 2021 and the community facilities the following year.
Part of the Queen Victoria Market Precinct Renewal Program, the Munro site is expected to deliver an estimated $70 million public benefit to the growing city north precinct, in one of Australia’s most sustainable mixed use developments. The Munro site is being delivered by developer PDG Corporation.
As with any significant construction project there will be short-term disruption as well as changes to the way you access the area.
We are working closely with Queen Victoria Market Pty Ltd, local businesses and neighbours, to reduce the impact of any works and ensure the site is well presented as construction progresses.
