Not that I used to buy @IndiaGateFoods Basmati rice before, but will make sure never to buy from an irresponsible brand like this again.

Second, if there is any rice that is showered as in South Indian weddings, you could raise awareness instead of trying to sell people fancy printed paper which would ultimately increase the wedding’s carbon footprint. Don’t waste rice, lets chop trees instead. #IndiaDegaAshirwad

Firstly, Rice is NOT wasted in Hindu weddings. In the North, rice is put in the bride’s aanchal, which we carry to our sasural and cook and eat it. The sacred purpose of giving rice is to bless the new couple that their kitchen may never be empty. #IndiaDegaAshirwad #Hinduphobia
