TONERPALOOZA II ZINE FAIR
After three years, Sticky Institute’s zine fair TONERPALOOZA returns to State Library Victoria with over a hundred zine stalls across two days.
Tonerpalooza II will take place in the Cowen Gallery to accompany the exhibition Self-made: zines and artist books, which runs until November 12 and will tour across the country through 2018 and 2019. Facebook event here.

Tonerpalooza II takes place on land belonging to the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation, to whom sovereignty was never ceded. Sticky Institute would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri people as the custodians of the land, and we pay our respects to their Elders past, present, and future.

7 August 2017 Self-made: zines and artists books is a new exhibition showcasing the eclectic world of independent publishing, from exquisite handmade artist books to radical low-fi zines, opening at State Library Victoria on 11 August 2017.
Self-made is at the State Library Victoria from 11 August to 12 November 2017, and will then tour to the Mildura Arts Centre, Murray Bridge Regional Gallery, New England Regional Art Museum, Tweed Regional Gallery, Toowoomba Regional Gallery, and Latrobe Regional Gallery through 2018 and 2019.

28 June 2017 Copier Jam! has been a touring exhibition showcasing current zine and independent comic creators, collectives and distributors from across Australia. Exhibition curator Jeremy Staples will be at Sticky Institute to hand back all the Melbourne zines featured in the exhibition to the Melbourne zinemakers.
Jeremy will be travelling down from Queensland to host a Show and Tell with the Melbourne based creators and to talk about zines and zine exhibitions. Come along to hang out with the zinemakers and find out what it takes to organise a touring zine exhibition.

7 June 2017 As part of Emerging Writers’ Festival 2017, Sticky Institute has curated an exhibition and associated series of zine launches / events at Thousand Pound Bend. It is called: 10,000 Staples.
Join us for the early evening exhibition opening where musical entertainment will be provided by space goth synth twiddler Meme Girls.
Sticky Institute acknowledges that 10,000 Staples is being held on the stolen lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nations, and that Indigenous sovereignty has never been ceded.

Sticky Institute is teaming up with Still Nomads and New Wayfinders to bring you Colour Copy, an afternoon dedicated to people of colour enjoying and creating zines together.
Join us for walk-in zine making workshops with creator of Keep Brave and all-round zine-queen, Daisy Catterall. 1.00-2.30pm and 3.00-4.30pm. All materials provided.
Feel free to BYO zines, artworks, and ideas to show, share or trade with other makers! Stick around for the afternoon to soak up our selection of artworks, zines, books and tunes - for us, by us.
