A cold front will leave showers and cool gusty winds in its wake over TAS, VIC and eastern NSW. A high will bring generally sunny skies to much of the nation, whilst directing heat into the west. Speckled cloud in the southwest with an upper trough is producing isolated light showers. Wispy high cloud over parts of the Pilbara and Kimberley with a low pressure trough is producing virtually no rain. Mottled cloud over the far northwest is trigger the odd storm.
