The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) advanced against Islamic State in north Raqqa on November 6, according to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, as part of a military operation called the Wrath of Euphrates. SDF captured 11 towns and farms in north Raqqa where heavy fighting against Islamic State was reported.
