Mr Tostee was found not guilty of murder and manslaughter last month in relation to Ms Wright’s 2014 death after she plunged from his balcony during a Tinder date.

When questioned over the fact Ms Wright screamed “no” 33 times in an audio recording that was a key piece of evidence in the case, Mr Tostee replied, “Yeah, she was certainly trying to make a lot of noise.”

Mr Tostee is asked at one point in the clip: “Can you understand why many people would think you’re a cold, heartless, cruel bastard?”

“When you put it that way, umm” Tostee replied, before the interview appeared to be cut.

Mr Tostee is reportedly earning a six-figure sum for his tell-all interview which has already sparked controversy online.

It is understood Channel 9 won a bidding war with its rival – Channel 7’s Sunday Night program – to secure the interview.
