The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) advanced against Islamic State in north Raqqa on November 8, according to a Kurdish media. The action was part of a military operation called the Wrath of Euphrates. SDF advanced 14 km in north Raqqa province and killed at least 43 Islamic State fighters and destroyed 7 vehicles, Hawar News said. US-backed coalition warplanes hit several Islamic State areas, the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said. However, an anti-Islamic State activist group, Raqqa is being slaughtered silently, said that coalition strikes hit civilians homes in Loqta village in Raqqa?s northern countryside. Syrian rebels advanced in north Aleppo after heavy fighting with regime and allied forces on November 8, opposition sources said. In a video on November 8, the rebel group Failaq Sham said it had taken the Aouijh district, north of Aleppo city.
