‘Suburban Boy’ Dave Warner gained national recognition as a musician-songwriter with the gold album MUG’S GAME. Indeed Bob Dylan declared Warner his favourite Australian songwriter.
Dave also writes plays, screenplays, crime novels and even children books. Dave's first novel CITY OF LIGHT was the recipient of the West Australian Premier’s Award for Fiction and his most recent BEFORE IT BREAKS has won the Ned Kelly Award for Best Crime Fiction 2016. Dave has also authored several non-fiction books on sport.
Dave's feature film credits include CUT starring Kylie Minogue and Molly Ringwald, and GARAGE DAYS, a co-write with director Alex Proyas (The Crow / Dark City).
Dave has worked on a number of Australian television dramas, his musical THE KING AND ME proved a hit at the last two Perth Fringe Festivals and Dave continues to tour and record. His new album WHEN, featuring a clutch of Australia's finest rock musicians is in its final stages before release.
