We live in an age where documentation is king. Through social media, we share even menial details from our lives along with photos of moments both notable and hardly so. With this emphasis on capturing moments, there comes an accompanying desire to present oneself as more interesting and exciting as they might otherwise be. That has turned some into aggressive paparazzi wannabes in the presence of a famous face and others into selfie stick-toting global travelers. For certain adrenaline junkies, however, there has been an increased embrace of high-risk, high-reward daredevil photography.
Let’s take a moment to appreciate the nerves of steel required to say ‘cheese!’ from atop a mountainous skyscraper. After all, not everyone in the world has the courage needed to create an eye-popping snapshot. Many explorers who embark on daring pursuits of stunning photography have taken the time to properly prepare and train in the art of safe climbing and seeking thrills without necessarily putting their bodies on the line. The intrepid, fearless folks represented in these 10 instances of dangerous photography all survived their ordeal, with those who deliberately placed themselves in unsafe situations going back for more afterwards.
Still, there’s an undeniable stupidity in play here. Little is worth risking life and limbs, particularly not a cool photo. As the popularity of aerial photography, popularly known as ‘rooftopping’, has grown more widespread, tragic stories of associated accidents have served as a stark, somber reminder of the dangers inherent. In 2015 alone, a 17-year-old man fell off of a building in Russia to his death and a 24-year-old New York native fatally dropped from the roof of the Four Seasons Hotel in Manhattan. Back in 2012, a photographer died in Chicago after falling into the smokestack of a high-rise building in the city. Though police in urban centers all over the world are now aware and mindful of the dangers associated with rooftopping, it is a difficult craze to crack down on for law enforcement.
Of course, scaling dramatic heights isn’t the only way to take a perilous picture. Mixed into this list along with daredevil aerialists dedicating their lives to death-defying visuals are folks who, both knowingly and unknowingly, produced a stunning candid out of a moment of pure terror. These individuals can thank their lucky stars after having lived to tell the tale – and share the photo for proof – after run-ins with vicious grizzly bears and hungry lions, stumbling into environments featuring breathtaking lightning storms and screaming baseballs.
Considering the dire circumstances in play, the end result for these enterprising photographers wound up being a pretty good one. With death looming as an all-too-real possibility, they all not only survived but came away as viral superstars for an image as authentic as it is amazing. It probably goes without saying, but these photos most certainly should not be tried at home. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. However, only one word is needed to sum up the statement behind most of these pictures: “whoa”.

Is there ever a family photo that goes just right? Even in professional photo shoots where everyone dresses the same and the photographer puts you in an uncomfortable pose, there usually has to be a few takes to get the shot. But I guess that’s the fun of it. Whenever a family photo is taken, there’s opportunities for it to go totally wrong. From flailing their children into the ocean to posing with no shirts and cupping each other’s breasts, these families went far beyond that.
Family time is special, there’s really nothing like it. So it’s no wonder that people want to capture those moments. But sometimes that’s just not possible. They say pictures say a thousand words, and all of these photos say “get me outta here!”. Like the parents who tried to coordinate swinging their two children at the same time. Let’s just say, it didn’t go over too well. Or the toddler who dropped her baby sister and couldn’t catch her before she face-planted.
And what about the older siblings laughing at their baby brother who face-planted into the snow? Or the father who flung his daughter into the sand while they were trying to take a cute jumping photo. And then there are the photo shoots gone totally wrong. We’ll say one thing: all family members going shirtless is never a good look. Have we caught your attention? Today we’re looking at 10 of the biggest family photo fails. We beg you to not crack up!

Photograph
A photograph or photo is an image created by light falling on a light-sensitive surface, usually photographic film or an electronic medium such as a CCD or a CMOS chip. Most photographs are created using a camera, which uses a lens to focus the scene's visible wavelengths of light into a reproduction of what the human eye would see. The process and practice of creating photographs is called photography. The word "photograph" was coined in 1839 by Sir John Herschel and is based on the Greek φῶς (phos), meaning "light", and γραφή (graphê), meaning "drawing, writing", together meaning "drawing with light".
History
The first permanent photograph, a contact-exposed copy of an engraving, was made in 1822 using the bitumen-based "heliography" process developed by Nicéphore Niépce. The first photographs of a real-world scene, made using a camera obscura, followed a few years later, but Niépce's process was not sensitive enough to be practical for that application: a camera exposure lasting for hours or days was required. In 1829 Niépce entered into a partnership with Louis Daguerre and the two collaborated to work out a similar but more sensitive and otherwise improved process.

Ed Sheeran
Edward Christopher "Ed" Sheeran (born 17 February 1991) is an English singer-songwriter and musician. He was born in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire and raised in Framlingham, Suffolk. After dropping out of school at 16, he moved to London the following year, in 2008, to pursue a career in music. In early 2011, Sheeran independently released the extended play, No. 5 Collaborations Project, which caught the attention of Elton John and Jamie Foxx. After signing with Asylum Records, his debut album, + (read as "plus"), was released on 9 September 2011 and has since been certified six-times platinum in the UK. The album contains the single "The A Team", which earned him the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. In 2012, Sheeran won the Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act.
Sheeran's popularity abroad began in 2012. In the US, he made a guest appearance on Taylor Swift's fourth studio album, Red. "The A Team" was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where he performed the song with Elton John. He spent much of 2013 opening for Swift's The Red Tour in North America dates. In late 2013, he performed three sold-out shows at New York's Madison Square Garden as a headline act. He was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2014 Grammy Awards.

The intrepid, fearless folks represented in these 10 instances of dangerous photography all survived their ordeal, with those who deliberately placed themselves in unsafe situations going back for more afterwards. Still, there’s an undeniable stupidity in play here. Little is worth risking life and limbs, particularly not a cool photo. As the popularity of aerial photography, popularly known as ‘rooftopping’, has grown more widespread, tragic stories of associated accidents have served as a stark, somber reminder of the dangers inherent. In 2015 alone, a 17-year-old man fell off of a building in Russia to his death and a 24-year-old New York native fatally dropped from the roof of the Four Seasons Hotel in Manhattan. Back in 2012, a photographer died in Chicago after falling into the smokestack of a high-rise building in the city. Though police in urban centers all over the world are now aware and mindful of the dangers associated with rooftopping, it is a difficult craze to crack down on for law enforcement. Of course, scaling dramatic heights isn’t the only way to take a perilous picture. Mixed into this list along with daredevil aerialists dedicating their lives to death-defying visuals are folks who, both knowingly and unknowingly, produced a stunning candid out of a moment of pure terror. These individuals can thank their lucky stars after having lived to tell the tale – and share the photo for proof – after run-ins with vicious grizzly bears and hungry lions, stumbling into environments featuring breathtaking lightning storms and screaming baseballs. Considering the dire circumstances in play, the end result for these enterprising photographers wound up being a pretty good one. With death looming as an all-too-real possibility, they all not only survived but came away as viral superstars for an image as authentic as it is amazing. It probably goes without saying, but these photos most certainly should not be tried at home. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. However, only one word is needed to sum up the statement behind most of these pictures: “whoa”. Plot: Rebecca Fairbanks is a movie star, a method actress making her first film in three years following a breakup with Jake Fields, her co-star in the new film. For certain adrenaline junkies, however, there has been an increased embrace of high-risk, high-reward daredevil photography.
Let’s take a moment to appreciate the nerves of steel required to say ‘cheese!’ from atop a mountainous skyscraper. After all, not everyone in the world has the courage needed to create an eye-popping snapshot. Many explorers who embark on daring pursuits of stunning photography have taken the time to properly prepare and train in the art of safe climbing and seeking thrills without necessarily putting their bodies on the line. The intrepid, fearless folks represented in these 10 instances of dangerous photography all survived their ordeal, with those who deliberately placed themselves in unsafe situations going back for more afterwards.
Still, there’s an undeniable stupidity in play here. Little is worth risking life and limbs, particularly not a cool photo. As the popularity of aerial photography, popularly known as ‘rooftopping’, has grown more widespread, tragic stories of associated accidents have served as a stark, somber reminder of the dangers inherent. In 2015 alone, a 17-year-old man fell off of a building in Russia to his death and a 24-year-old New York native fatally dropped from the roof of the Four Seasons Hotel in Manhattan. Back in 2012, a photographer died in Chicago after falling into the smokestack of a high-rise building in the city. Though police in urban centers all over the world are now aware and mindful of the dangers associated with rooftopping, it is a difficult craze to crack down on for law enforcement.
Of course, scaling dramatic heights isn’t the only way to take a perilous picture. Mixed into this list along with daredevil aerialists dedicating their lives to death-defying visuals are folks who, both knowingly and unknowingly, produced a stunning candid out of a moment of pure terror. These individuals can thank their lucky stars after having lived to tell the tale – and share the photo for proof – after run-ins with vicious grizzly bears and hungry lions, stumbling into environments featuring breathtaking lightning storms and screaming baseballs.
Considering the dire circumstances in play, the end result for these enterprising photographers wound up being a pretty good one. With death looming as an all-too-real possibility, they all not only survived but came away as viral superstars for an image as authentic as it is amazing. It probably goes without saying, but these photos most certainly should not be tried at home. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. However, only one word is needed to sum up the statement behind most of these pictures: “whoa”.

Even in professional photo shoots where everyone dresses the same and the photographer puts you in an uncomfortable pose, there usually has to be a few takes to get the shot. But I guess that’s the fun of it. Whenever a family photo is taken, there’s opportunities for it to go totally wrong. From flailing their children into the ocean to posing with no shirts and cupping each other’s breasts, these families went far beyond that.
Family time is special, there’s really nothing like it. So it’s no wonder that people want to capture those moments. But sometimes that’s just not possible. They say pictures say a thousand words, and all of these photos say “get me outta here!”. Like the parents who tried to coordinate swinging their two children at the same time. Let’s just say, it didn’t go over too well. Or the toddler who dropped her baby sister and couldn’t catch her before she face-planted.
And what about the older siblings laughing at their baby brother who face-planted into the snow? Or the father who flung his daughter into the sand while they were trying to take a cute jumping photo. And then there are the photo shoots gone totally wrong. The Importance of Removing Objects
We have all taken photos that were close to perfect except for some object in the background. If given the chance it is always better to remove that object in person, it will take much less time than doing it in Photoshop and will look more natural. Sometimes however that is not an option; either you didn't see it or were not able to move it.
That is where Photoshop comes in! In this episode we show you how to remove objects from your photos to make your subject stand out more.
Selections Are the Key to Removing Objects
Often times the objects you want to remove are behind other objects. In this episode we remove a trashcan and a street sign, both of which are behind a lamp post and a stone seat. In order to remove the objects from the background we have to make a selection that keeps the lamp post and stone seat from being affected.
To make this selection we use the Pen Tool. It is one of the more complicated tools to use in Photoshop but it is well worth learning because of how powerful it is.

After your selection is made it is time to use any tools available to build the background. If you are lucky there will be plenty of area to sample from that looks like the area you need to cover.
Start out using the Clone Stamp Tool, it will duplicate a sampled area and can do most of the job for you providing you have an area to sample.
Sometimes you will have to remove and object and that means creating something "behind" that object from scratch. This is where the brush tool comes in.
When All Else Fails, Use the Brush Tool
The brush tool is incredibly powerful and shouldn't be overlooked when creating a new background. it may not have as much detail as the Clone Stamp Tool but you are not limited to sampling areas.
With the brush tool you can "paint" anything you can think of, including the background over top of an object you want to remove. This may sound really hard but using color samples from the surrounding image and a little creativity you would be amazed at what you can do.
In this example we completely remove a trash can from the image and paint the building and the sidewalk in behind it.
