Bref. is a French television series created by Kyan Khojandi, cowritten by the latter and Bruno Muschio, and produced by Harry Tordjman for My Box Productions. It has been broadcast on Canal+ since August 29, 2011. The end of the series was announced on June 29, 2012, the last episode having aired July 12, 2012.
The main character is an anonymous 30-year-old Parisian (he celebrates his 30th birthday in the 46th episode). He is also unemployed and single. He uses “I” to talk about himself, and his name is never revealed to the audience. His life is boring until he meets a girl at a party who unintentionally seduces him, especially with her eyes. As soon as the party is over, his only wish is to see her again. Many of the show's episodes are devoted to his failed attempts at meeting up with her or really connecting.
The hero sometimes looks for a job, and finally gets a one-on-one interview in a copying machine company. Despite a catastrophic interview that revealed all the lies about his CV, he gets the job. Nevertheless, exasperated by his workmates and bored by the job, he quits. Thereafter, he works in a call center (Telecom 3000).
There’s something coming
And its coming for you
The mob is restless
Looking for something new
You lead us here
With an eternal promise
The gallows are calling
For you to pay for this
Now that we’re left here on our own
There is nowhere left to turn
Who will see me through?
Your heroes are dead
They were all in you head
When nothing is left we’ll start again
What fitting ends
To our fearless fathers
The cost of treason
Isn't paid in dollars
With nothing left
There is nothing to lose
We’ll watch the city gates
Falling all around you
You said id never make it
That I could only fail
But I'm the one who’s standing
And what has happened to you?
Now that we’ve said goodbye to you
We’ve started something new
Your heroes are gone
They left with the dawn
