The Taking of Deborah Logan is a 2014 American horror film and the feature film directorial debut of Adam Robitel, written by Robitel and co-writer Gavin Heffernan. The film stars Jill Larson, Anne Ramsay, and Michelle Ang. Set in Virginia, it tells the story of a documentary crew making a film about Alzheimer's patients who uncover something sinister while documenting a woman who suffers from the disease. The film was produced by Jeff Rice and Bryan Singer and was released on October 21, 2014.
Mia, Gavin, and Luis are a documentary team set to create a documentary about Deborah, an elderly woman suffering from Alzheimer's disease. Deborah is reluctant to be filmed, but agrees to the project after her daughter Sarah reminds her that they need the money to keep the house from being repossessed. While filming, Sarah and Deborah talk about earlier years when Deborah worked as a switchboard operator for her own answering service business to make ends meet.
Deborah is shown to exhibit increasingly bizarre actions that her personal physician, Dr. Nazir, states are normal for someone with an aggressive form of Alzheimer's. However, cameraman Luis begins to notice that several of Deborah's actions defy normal explanations and expresses concern that something supernatural is occurring. Things grow more tense after Luis and Gavin record audio of Deborah speaking in French while sitting at her old switchboard, talking about sacrifices and snakes. They also notice that the line for 337 continually rings and discover that the line belonged to local physician Henry Desjardins, who disappeared after a series of cannibalistic ritualized murders of four young girls. This information is too much for Gavin and he quits. Deborah's behavior becomes so extreme that she is hospitalized for her own safety.
The Taking is a 2004 novel written by Dean Koontz.
In the midst of an oddly sudden rain storm, author Molly Sloan awakens in the middle of the night. Unable to return to sleep, she leaves her husband Neil slumbering in bed and goes downstairs to work on a manuscript in progress.
Dark shapes huddle on her porch – coyotes from the nearby forest. She wonders what could have frightened such animals into leaving the sanctuary of the deep woods to brave the proximity of human beings. Disturbed, she steps outside, to stand among the wild beasts, and is frightened herself – not by the animals, but by the strange, oddly luminescent rain. On an instinctual level, she realizes that there is something unclean about the rain.
Once she comes back to the house, Molly and her husband Neil search for information in the news. They are only able to gather that the same phenomenon is taking place all over the world, before all communications are lost. They decide to flee their isolated home, gathering with the residents of the nearby small mountain town, in order to prepare a resistance, though they are not even sure against what they will be fighting. After 10 hours of downpour, the rain stops. In its place, a thick, ominous fog obscures everything, reducing trees and buildings to looming shadows. By then, Molly and Neil are in the town's tavern, where around 60 people have gathered with dogs and children. It is implied that the phenomenon is the product of an alien invasion.
Adam (Hebrew: אָדָם; Aramaic/Syriac: ܐܕܡ; Arabic: آدم) is a figure from the Book of Genesis who is also mentioned in the New Testament, the deuterocanonical books, the Quran, the Book of Mormon, and the Book of Iqan. According to the creation myth of the Abrahamic religions, he was the first human.
In the Genesis creation narratives, he was created by Yahweh-Elohim ("Yahweh-God", the god of Israel), though the term "adam" can refer to both the first individual person, as well as to the general creation of humankind. Christian churches differ on how they view Adam's subsequent behavior of disobeying God (often called the Fall of man), and to the consequences that those actions had on the rest of humanity. Christian and Jewish teachings sometimes hold Adam and Eve (the first woman) to a different level of responsibility for the Fall, though Islamic teaching holds both equally responsible. In addition, Islam holds that Adam was eventually forgiven, while Christianity holds that redemption occurred only later through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. The Bahá'í Faith, Islam and some Christian denominations consider Adam to be the first prophet.
Jill Larson (born October 7, 1947) is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Opal Cortlandt on the ABC daytime soap opera, All My Children.
Larson was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Ruth Evangeline (née Boyce), an interior decorator, and John Charles Larson, an aerospace engineer. She has three sisters. Larson attended the same high school as Dorothy Lyman, who played Opal on All My Children before her. She enrolled at the University of Minnesota (eventually, she finished her education at Hunter College), and began singing in nightclubs with a group called Just Us. It was not long before Just Us was discovered and headed to New York City, where they recorded several soundtracks, including the one for the film, Rachel, Rachel, starring Joanne Woodward.
Larson and her sister traveled throughout Europe in a bus, before she settled in Paris, France. She became a model, and was soon appearing in major American and European fashion spreads. While in Paris, she also landed her first film role (as a Swedish au pair) in Deadly Trap, starring Faye Dunaway and Frank Langella. Her next film role was as Jeanne Moreau's rival for her character's younger lover in the film, Dear Louise.
Michelle Ang (born 17 October 1983) is a New Zealand film and television actress.
Ang was born in Christchurch of Malaysian Chinese descent.
Ang was also a talented ballet dancer when she was younger. She performed in The Nutcracker, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Romeo and Juliet with the Royal New Zealand Ballet.
Ang has completed studies at Victoria University of Wellington for a double degree, a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration (B.C.A.) in Accounting with Commercial Law and Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.
Ang made her film debut in Futile Attraction. Ang also appeared in a series of low-budget New Zealand short films including Forbidden Fury in 2004. Her most recent film credit was on the much-applauded No.2, directed by Toa Fraser and nominated for Audience Choice Awards at the Cannes Film Festival.
Ang got her start in television at a young age through the hit family series McDonald's Young Entertainers. Here, she got to show her skills at singing and dancing, much like the Mickey Mouse Club show on US television. She is best known for her role as Lori Lee in the Australian television soap opera Neighbours, in which she was a major character in 2002 – 2003, and guest-starred in 2004. Also in 2004, she auditioned for the Cho Chang role in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, but in the end the role was given to Katie Leung. Before that she played Tai-San in the New Zealand post-apocalyptic drama The Tribe, present in the core cast from 1999 to 2001, and featuring in the final episodes of the 2002 series. Ang also starred in the final episodes of Xena: Warrior Princess as Akemi. She played the role of Tracy Hong in seasons 1 and 2 of the New Zealand TV series Outrageous Fortune in 2005 and 2006.

Get ready, horror movie fans! Insidious: Chapter 4 is set to open in theaters on October 20 next year! Leigh Whannell and James Wan – who wrote and directed the first two films – are producing the movie. Adam Robitel will take over as director, though. Lin Shaye is confirmed to reprise her role of Elise in the film. However, it’s still unclear where Chapter 4 will be taking place on the insidious timeline. It’s possible that this fourth installment will be set between the events of chapter 3 and the original. But it very well could take place after the events of chapter 2. http://screenrant.com/insidious-4-director-release-date-2017/ http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit Business using http://wochit.com

Adam Robitel adalah orang di industri perfilman. Selama ini dia berkutat di bagian editing, penulisan naskah, aktor, dan juga produser. Pria asal Amerika ini pernah juga menjadi sutradara, tapi hanya untuk film-film pendek. We tackle our first found-footage horror film, and, well ... not everyone's convinced. We analyze Adam Robitel's 2014 The Taking of Deborah Logan: "An elderly woman battling Alzheimer's disease agrees to let a film crew document her condition, but what they discover is something far more sinister going on." We argue about the relationship between disease & horror, narrative & structure, improvisation & scripting, among other things.
