Susan Elizabeth "Sue" Perkins (born 22 September 1969) is an English comedian, broadcaster, actress and writer, born in East Dulwich, London. Originally coming to prominence through her comedy partnership with Mel Giedroyc in Mel and Sue, she has since become best known as a radio broadcaster and TV presenter, notably of The Great British Bake Off.
Perkins was ranked sixth in The Independent on Sunday's 2014 Rainbow List and has been in the list every year since 2008.
Perkins was born on 22 September 1969 in south London, where she grew up with her two younger siblings and parents. Her father worked for a local car dealer and her mother was employed as a secretary. She was educated at Croham Hurst School, a nearby independent school for girls in Surrey, at the same time as the former BBC Breakfast News presenter Susanna Reid. She later studied English at New Hall (now Murray Edwards College) at the University of Cambridge, graduating in 1990. While at Cambridge, she was a member of the Footlights, where she met Mel Giedroyc. She was Footlights president during the academic year 1991/92.
The Last Leg (known during its first series as The Last Leg with Adam Hills and for its end of year special as The Last Leg of the Year) is a British television show that originally ran alongside the 2012 Summer Paralympics every night following the main coverage on Channel 4. Hosted by Australian comedian Adam Hills and co-hosted by Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker, it gave an alternative review of the day's events. The Last Leg is also broadcast in Australia on ABC Television.
Featuring a mix of comedy, guests and Paralympics highlights, the show received strong reviews and regularly pulled in more than a million viewers each night of the Paralympic Games.
Since then, the show has become a weekly show giving an alternative look at the week's events. Micky Flanagan co-hosted the first show of 2014 as a temporary replacement for Brooker, who was in Austria as co-host of The Jump.
The Last Leg is summed up by Hills as: "Three guys with four legs talking about the week." This is based upon Alex Brooker missing his right leg and Adam Hills his right foot.

Jonathan Stephen Ross, OBE (born 17 November 1960) is an English television and radio presenter, film critic, and actor best known for presenting the BBC One chat show Friday Night with Jonathan Ross during the 2000s. Ross also hosted his own radio show on BBC Radio 2, and acted as a film critic and presenter of the Film programme. After leaving the BBC, Ross then began hosting a new chat show on ITV, The Jonathan Ross Show. Other regular roles have included being a regular panellist on the comedy sports quiz They Think It's All Over and being a regular presenter of the British Comedy Awards.
Ross began his television career as a programme researcher, before débuting as a television presenter for The Last Resort with Jonathan Ross on Channel 4 in 1987. Over the next decade he had several radio and television roles, many through his own production company, Channel X. In 1995 he sold his stake in Channel X, and embarked on a career with the BBC. In 1999, Ross took over presenting the Film programme from Barry Norman, and also began presenting his own radio show, while two years later he began hosting Friday Night with Jonathan Ross. For the chat show, Ross won three BAFTA awards for Best Entertainment Performance, in 2004, 2006 and 2007. By 2006 Ross was believed to be the BBC's highest paid star. In 2005, Ross was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to broadcasting. Ross has been involved in controversies throughout his broadcasting career. As a result, in 2008 he wrote a semi-autobiographical work titled Why Do I Say These Things?, detailing some of his life experiences.
The Jonathan Ross Show is a British chat show presented by Jonathan Ross. It was first broadcast on ITV on 3 September 2011 and airs on Saturday evenings following the conclusion of Ross' BBC One chat show, Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, in July 2010.
The show is filmed at The London Studios, except for one episode in 2013 which was filmed at BBC Television Centre. In November 2011, it was announced that Ross had signed a new two-year contract to host another two series of 10 episodes and a Christmas special. A year later, the show was later renewed for a fourth series to air in 2013. In March 2013, Ross bemoaned his declining ratings due to a poor selection of guests, as some top celebrities seemed to prefer the atmosphere of The Graham Norton Show. He also confirmed that series 4 had been extended and that he had signed to present one more series of 30 episodes. In July 2013, despite previous announcements that the show would end in late 2013, ITV commissioned two more series to air in 2014.
