For Crown Prince and his five brothers to receive a dignitary is a rare gesture reflecting imp attached to PM's visit
Traditional Arab hospitality from the start! PM received by Crown Prince HH Sheikh Mohd bin Zayed Al Nahyan
There is a joint declaration by India and UAE to those who indulge in and support terrorism. They have no other option but to wind up and join the forces of universal peace. This declaration is a big breakthrough in the global war against terrorism. If there are some people in politics and the media, for their own reasons, who do not want to compliment Mr. Modi for the energetic initiative towards bringing peace in the world, that is getting scarce with each passing day, ( refer : Bangkok bomb blast) let them be cured of the anti- Modi disease in the days ahead.Modi is not simply warming up his chair in Delhi to spit feeble words condemning terror attacks after the damage , as a formality . He speaks from his heart, wherever he goes. This genuineness needs to be acknowledged and appreciated by neutral public and media.

Long live my country, the unity of our Emirates lives
You have lived for a nation
Whose religion is Islam and guide is the Qur’an
I made you stronger in Allah’s name, oh homeland
My country, My country, My country, My country
God has protected you from the evils of the time
We have sworn to build and work
Work sincerely, work sincerely
As long as we live, we will be sincere
The safety has lasted and the flag has lived oh our Emirates
The symbol of Arabism
We all sacrifice for you, we supply you with our blood
We sacrifice for you with our souls oh homeland

25 Reasons That The United Arab Emirates Is Way Over The Top
The United Arab Emirates is a unique place. For one, it is one of the last few remaining absolute monarchies in the world. What does this mean? Well, in contrast to countries like the United Kingdom or Canada, where parliament holds the power (constitutional monarchy), in the United Arab Emirates the monarch is the only one holding the reigns. Moreover, the monarchs are usually filthy rich. Why? W

Travel video about destination United Arab Emirates.
Situated on the Arabian Peninsula between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, the United Arab Emirates is a fairy-tale of the One Thousand And One Nights. In just a relatively few years the region has been catapulted from the Middle Ages into the 21st century and it is now an international financial centre within an ancient desert region. It contains seven sheikdoms that are united both politically and economically. Dubai is a wonderful holiday paradise with a romantic desert and a long history in which the past unites with the present. Dubai is the second largest state in the United Arab Emirates and is situated on the north coast of the Arabian Peninsula. Fifteen kilometres from Dubai is the tiny Emirate of Sharjah where life continues according to age-old Arabian tradition. Tourism was once popular on this former pirate coast but the Saudi king subsequently prohibited the consumption of alcohol and thus the tourists stayed away. On the western side of theHajar Mountains an oasis village developed that contains more than two hundred springs and wells. The oasis was once frequently occupied by Saudi Arabia but in 1974 the International Court Of Justice in the Hague ruled against the Saudi occupation. Today, Oman and the United Arab Emirates share the nine oasis villages of the Buraimi Oasis and live together in peace. Abu Dhabi is the largest of the seven Emirates and means, Father Of The Gazelle, a name derived from an ancient legend. The seventy three thousand square kilometres of the Abu Dhabi region cover eighty-six per cent of the United Arab Emirates and in the 1960’s the city had a population of five thousand that has now grown to almost a million. As the oil supplies gradually trickle away the sheiks are becoming increasingly cautious with their spending and the oil boom has now been followed by tourism in this fairy-tale holiday paradise that is full of desert romance.

Travel video about destination Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
Dubai is a fairy-tale holiday paradise with romantic desert scenery and a long history. Like an ancient kingdom from the 'One Thousand And One Nights', it's the second largest state in the United Arab Emirates located on the northern coast of the Arabian Peninsula. The trading of dates, goats, pearls and fish brought the city much prosperity and it gradually developed into the largest trading centre in the Near East.
Maritime life has always played a significant role in the lives of those who live on the Arabian Gulf. With its triangular sails and a design that has remained unchanged for thousands of years, the dhow still sails these waters. Hundreds of them lie at anchor close to the old town on the banks of Dubai Creek.
No other city in the United Arab Emirates possesses so many fascinating contrasts. But the past is gradually merging with the present and portrays a new and harmonious image. Dubai's impressive silhouette is in stark contrast to the desert sand and sparkling sea.
The Deira district owes its prosperity to the various souks that were established there in the 19th century. At this time, Dubai was already an important trading city with almost 7,000 inhabitants. The number of stalls in the souk rose to more than 300 and a modest tax was imposed for the coffers of the local Sheikh.
Amid the desert surroundings, in front of the city gates, is the Nad Al Sheba Camel Course where the intrepid creatures of the desert are trained during the winter months and where the jockeys are young boys from Somalia and Pakistan.
Dusty gravel roads lead into the Hajar Mountains, part of the splendid mountain landscape in the eastern section of the Emirates.
Dubai's skyline has a new landmark, the Burj Al Arab, the only hotel in the world to have been awarded no less than seven stars! Built on a man-made island, its design is that of a sail bent by the wind.
Dubai, the height of luxury amid the desert sand is a glittering fairytale of the 21st century.

Take a tour of Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions series by GeoBeats.
The strikingly beautiful Sheikh Zayed Mosque is the largest mosque in the United Arab Emirates.
Over 80 snow-white domes look like they were built using pure clouds.
Though the mosque is brand new, it draws on classical architecture of the Arabs, Mughals, and Moors.
The Sheikh Zayed Mosque is open to visitors before noon, although there are some regulations.
This huge and beautiful building can hold about 40,000 in its many halls.
The decoration is largely based on natural patterns, made out of precious and elegant materials.
Everything here is grand and extraordinary - including some of the world's largest chandeliers.
Construction materials and artists were called upon from many countries around the world.
This magical mosque is undoubtedly a special landmark, that draws worshippers and visitors from all over.

United Arab Emirates Travel Guide http://bit.ly/17YavWy
Shepherd Entertainment takes you on a tour of Abu Dhabi, the capital and the largest city in the United Arab Emirates. Its
territory covers 87% of the emirates and its population totals 1,002,000.
The name Abu Dhabi means father of the gazelle. Its territory covers 87% of the emirates. Its
population totals 1,002,000 due to the immense uninhabitable dessert, life is concentrated on three
areas, the capital and the oasis cities of Al Ain and Liwa. The capital was constructed on one of the
islands belonging to the emirate. The ruler's palace and one of the most modern universities in the Arab
world are to be found in Al Ain while the center of economics is based in the capital. The emirate of Abu
Dhabi was established in 1761 by the Boneas Bedouin tribe next to a fresh water spring. Dubai
separated from the emirates in 1833 under the leadership of the Maktoums. The area's wealth began
with the export of oil in 1962 from which the population has yet to see profit. Four years later Zayed Bin
Sultan Al Nahyan Sheikh enjoying the support of his family took command from his brother Shuck Bold
Sheikh with a bloodless palace revolution. Abu Dhabi's prosperity started then enhanced by the
withdrawal of the British. Vast incomes originating from oil served the country's development under
the leadership of Zayed Sheikh. The high standard of living is thanks to him. His death in 2004 caused
deep mourning in every Arab country. Zayed Sheikh was the second richest state leader after the Saudi
King. His private fortune totals more than $20 billion. His fortune and his title were inherited by crown
prince Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan who was at the same time elected the new president of the United
Arab Emirates. The city of Abu Dhabi was built on a T shaped island connected to the land by two
bridges. The city's appearance, similar to Dubai is determined by skyscrapers. Office blocks, hotels and
business centers exemplified a mix of traditional and modern architecture. There are many more green
areas and parks in the city than in any other desert country. The other striking feature is that mosques
were built at a distance of 1km from each other to make them as accessible as possible for the believers.
The locals enjoy an evening walk along the promenade, called Corniche. Tourists soon fall in love with
the coastal sector lined with coffee shops and restaurants with an outstanding view of the sea. It's
certain worthwhile seeing Al Hosn Fortress, the great mosque, the oriental carpet house, the heritage
museum and the central market.

United Arab Emirates Travel Guide http://bit.ly/17YavWy
Shepherd Entertainment takes you on a tour of Dubai, a city and emirate in the United Arab Emirates.
The United Arab Emirates are also called the pearls of the Persian Gulf. The confederation stretching
across 83000 square kilometers spreads on the Arabian Peninsula in the midst of Qatar, Oman and Suadi
Arabia. The seven Emirates, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ash Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Al Fujaira, Umm Al
Qaiwain, and Adjman established a political and economic federation on the 2nd of December 1971. The
capitals bear the names of the Emirates. The largest city is Abu Dhabi, the most well known is Dubai.
Visitors have the possibility to see the sights by helicopter from where the contrast can readily be seen.
While magnificent sights shiny concrete and metal and glass skyscrapers dominate, in the distance
underneath them, the old buildings with wind towers still stand, the covered bazaars, the souks, the
busy markets and colorful ports. And at the edge of the city, the huge sand dunes of the desert begin.
Approximately 4 million people live in the United Arab Emirates, 85% of them are urbanites, since only
1% of the country's territory is habitable. Only the Bedouins living their tribal life are able to tolerate
their nomad circumstances in the desert.
Part of the plains covered with sand dunes belongs to the great Arabian desert, Al Rub Alkali, there are
only a few oases and these are sometimes endangered by the rambling sand dunes. Dunes are known
to ramble several hundreds of kilometers. They try to defend the settlements against these by planting
forest belts. Lately, eucalyptus trees have been imported from Australia and these are watered by
underground pipe lines. More than 50 years have passed since geologists searched for water under the
sand of the desert. They made trial borings and hit oil instead of water.
Oil is cheaper than water around here. The black gold changed the life of the Arabian country. Goat and
camel herders, fisherman and agricultural workers until then living in poverty suddenly became
unbelievably rich. A large scale infrastructural development program started from the income deriving
from the oil sales. Nowadays, a highway of 3300 km is available for a country that didn't know any other
transportation facilities other than horses and camel caravans until 1970.
Dirham is the official currency of the Emirates, the stable exchange rate of which compared to the US
dollar is 3.65. Tourists are recommended to take dollars with them because the dollar is exchanged at
the best rate. It's worth it to exchange in shops and exchange offices less so at hotel receptions.
Travelers' checks are accepted by banks only but it's possible to pay with bank cards almost everywhere
and there are also a lot of ATMs. These can also be used after 1:00 in the afternoon when most of the
banks close. Keep in mind that Friday is a day off here. Dubai is increasingly prided as the mecca of
shopping tourism. Visitors primarily come here for the sake of gold, genuine pearls, textiles and
electronic products but traditional Arabian goods, antiquities and spices also change hands.
Many travelers take advantage of Dubai's international airport being the transit station of traffic
heading from Europe to the Far East so they spend a few hours in one of the shopping centers until the
departure of their flight. Those short of time can purchase the most important things at the airport.
Since it's an Islamic country, drinks containing alcohol are expensive. But other products especially gold
and jewelry are much cheaper than in Europe, thanks to the exemption from duties.
The visitors of Dubai wherever they go are not allowed near the tempting shopping centers. There are
more than 20 such facilities with new ones opening continuously. Mainly the districts of Burj Dubai,
Deira, Satwa and Jumeirah can be considered shopping paradises. By finding and exploiting the oil
treasure, unemployment ceased in the United Arab Emirates. What's more most of the population
consists of immigrants 61% of the 4 million citizens is Arab, 22% is South Asian, 8% is Iranian. The
spoken languages and practiced religions also vary according to this. Almost everybody speaks English
except for the Arabs. This is due to the history of the country. Indian immigrants speak Hindi and Farsi.
96% of the population is Islamic, the followers of Hindi and Christian religions amount to only 4%.
During your stay, be sure to show respect for the local citizens' sensitivity in regard to their religion,
culture and traditions. Ladies should definitely avoid provocative clothing, miniskirts and anything low
cut. Topless bathing is strictly prohibited on the beaches.

departure of their flight.

Why? Well that typically boils down to oil. The gulf states are all sitting on vast oil reserves and that has generated a majority of their wealth. This wealth, combined with a highly conservative society has created a unique environment. People come (primarily from southern Asia) to work in Dubai thanks to the fact that it offers numerous high paying jobs. This in turn has led to some pretty skewed statistics. Although the population of the United Arab Emirates numbers in the millions, only a small fraction are actually citizens. And the ruling families like to keep it that way. Gaining citizenship in these places is virtually unheard of. So, although people come to work for many years, when their jobs are done, they have to leave. These are 25 reasons that the United Arab Emirates is way over the top!

The Attaché guide to Dubai, one of the most extraordinary cities on earth.
Want to arrive in Dubai ready to chat? Then check out our friends at italki and buy one Arabic lesson to get a second lesson free! http://promos.italki.com/attache-dubai/
This was a challenging shoot but absolutely worth it. With minimal equipment, baking temperatures, and sometimes less than ideal filming conditions, we wanted to bring you the best of what Dubai has to offer. When you step away from the malls and fast food joints, Dubai is a very special place with a fascinating story.
Thanks to Arva from the outstanding Frying Pan Adventures http://www.fryingpanadventures.com/ for taking us on a food tour of Old Dubai that we'll never forget.
Thanks also to our friends at Emirates for getting us to Dubai in style on one of their amazing A380s. Now THAT is traveling. http://www.emirates.com

Chillout Ice Lounge Dubai, recently underwent a major facelift. This film shows you the story of the project and the new interiors.
Chillout is the first Ice Lounge in the Middle East. An experience not to be missed on a holiday to Dubai or as an educational or family day out.
Share this video and visit our Facebook to Like Us www.facebook.com/ChilloutIceLoungeDubai
A unique and amazing ice and light experience
The Chillout Ice Lounge Dubai created by Sharaf Hospitality is the first ice lounge in the Middle East. Originally opened in 2007, the ice lounge had a major refurbishment in July 2014 creating a place which is spell binding with its ice sculptures, ice seating and tables and a uniquely illuminated interior, all at a subzero temperature.
Once visitors arrive they are given thermal clothing to keep themselves warm while in the -6 degrees.
Visitors are advised to spend a few minutes in a buffer zone area to get acclimatised. The temperature in the buffer zone is set at +5 degrees Celsius which gives the body time to adjust to the low temperature in the main Chillout Ice Lounge.
The Chillout Ice Lounge Dubai combines the novelty of subzero temperatures with a unique interior design. It is a technological innovation in refrigeration, lighting and architecture. The diffused lighting changes its colors at certain intervals and it filters through crystal clear blocks of ice, filling them with low-lux hues of varying patterns, making the moment freeze in its ambience. All these elements have been intelligently composed to create one of the best ice lounges in the world.
The lounge serves hot soups, sandwiches, juices, hot chocolates, coffee, tea and a variety of deserts, mocktails and confectionary, making it the first of its kind in the world to serve hot food & beverages.
Located at Times Square Center Dubai, why not visit us for an unparalleled experience with friends and family. We are also available for corporate events, film shoots and private hire.

An awe-inspiring engineering feat, Dubai Palm Islands is definitely the largest artificial islands on earth. These Islands are three man made islands in the form of massive palm trees connected to the beaches of Dubai. The first island is the Palm Jumeirah, Jebel Ali Palm second and the third is the Palm Deira which is the biggest of them all. This artificial archipelago located off the coastline of United Arab Emirates in Persian Gulf.
Dubai islands project was commissioned by Sheikh Mohammed in an effort to maximize beachfront property. Dubai's palm tree-shaped resort island on land built from the sea will contribute 120 km of beaches. Aside from the construction of the ambitious expansion, there is also the problem of constructing a mini city, which consists of 4,500 high-end residential homes, miles of roads, luxurious hotels and many amenities that will require basic human resources including electricity, safe drinking water and many more. This enormous project will position Dubai as one of the top tourist destinations in the world.
I will tell you why these islands have appeared and that they must satisfy. Dubai is an emirate that open sea about 50 km (an estimate) and the sites required for building projects are on the beach. To view course and especially to "park" in front of the yacht's property or even assembly.
Well when the beach was not available, and demand persists, the beach had invented. And it appeared artificial islands. Hence so sophisticated forms of the islands: they had to provide a larger opening to the ocean.
This new concept quickly caught on. 'Only a' product 'high-end, the latest wrinkle in the most creative developers metropolis. A new source of land, location of the trick of the planet Earth! The job went, the two islands were settled immediately, with mixed development, spectacular, exorbitant, and finally in Dubai's specific style ... In parallel to the World archipelago started building and other projects are still on the drawing board Nakheel, developer. But crisis compels us to winter a little ...
Where is the dream of similar islands: In Lebanon, wants to build a cedar shaped islands, the symbol of this country. Russia wants to try an island / an archipelago in Black in Sochi at the 2014 Olympics, at least that is speaking through the past years. Also in Japan there are several large airports built on artificial islands.
The Palm Islands are artificial peninsulas constructed of sand dredged from the bottom of the Persian Gulf by the Belgian company Jan De Nul and the Dutch company Van Oord.
The sand is sprayed by the dredging ships, which are guided by DGPS, onto the required area in a process known as rain-bowing because of the arcs in the air when the sand is sprayed. The outer edge of each Palm's encircling crescent is a large rock breakwater. The breakwater of the Palm Jumeirah has over seven million tons of rock.
The Palm Islands are an artificial archipelago (islands) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Major commercial and residential infrastructures will be constructed by Nakheel Properties, a property developer in The UAE. The Belgian and Dutch dredging and marine contractors, Jan De Nul and Van Oord, some of the world's specialists in land reclamation, were hired to complete construction. The islands are the Palm Jumeirah, the Palm Jebel Ali and the Palm Deira.
Each settlement will be in the shape of a palm tree, topped with a crescent. The settlements will have a large number of residential, leisure and entertainment centers. The Palm Islands are located off the coast of The UAE in the Persian Gulf and will add 520 kilometers of beaches to the city of Dubai.
The first two islands will comprise of approximately 100 million cubic meters of rock and sand. The Palm Deira will be composed of approximately one billion cubic meters of rock and sand. All materials will be quarried in The UAE. Among the three islands, there will be over 100 luxury hotels, exclusive residential beach side villas and apartments, marinas, water theme parks, restaurants, shopping malls, sports facilities and health spas.
The creation of the Palm Jumeirah began in June 2001. Shortly after, the Palm Jebel Ali was announced and reclamation work began. The Palm Deira is planned to have a surface area of 46.35 square kilometers and was announced for development in October 2004.

The late Sheikh Zayed was appointed as the representative of the Emirate's Ruler in the Eastern Region in 1946. Immediately after his appointment, he immersed himself in government affairs in Al Ain City, the region's administrative seat. Within two years he was considered a powerful figure in the region, characterized by his strong will and determination to reform. In addition, he became well-known for his skills as a listener and effective dispute mediator, which earned him the greatest respect of those around him. These were the traits which he later became internationally recognized for.
In August 1966, Sheikh Zayed acceded to the position of Ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, a position which reflected the trust and respect he had gained following his success at initiating the development of Al Ain City during the 1950s despite meager resources. He then set the Emirate on its path of sustainable growth and development that has today become the gold standard for the entire region.
Sheikh Zayed is credited with pushing rising oil revenues into a substantial development drive to benefit all those living under his rule, as well as, establishing a new governmental structure that laid the foundations for the Emirate and the country today.
In 1971, the late Sheikh Zayed, working alongside the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the then Ruler of Dubai, pioneered the efforts that led to the UAE's establishment in December 1971, which politically consolidated the nascent nation in difficult circumstances. As an acknowledgement of his leadership, sagacity and his efforts, the late Sheikh Zayed was unanimously elected by his fellow Rulers of the Emirates to become the first President of the UAE, a title which earned him the local and enduring moniker of 'Father of the Nation'.
Sheikh Zayed was a man who understood that in order to build harmony, cohesion and solidarity among his people, he first needed to build their trust via constructive and personal interaction. He enjoyed getting out and meeting the local community, and was considered as a man of the people. He tasked his government with building capabilities in health, education and social welfare, seeing all UAE citizens as instrumental to the nation's collective success. This philosophy remains evident across the country today.
Economically, the late Sheikh Zayed successfully invested oil revenues in building a strong and cohesive economy, ranking the UAE among the region's most economically developed countries. Thanks to his vision, the UAE is now the GCC's second biggest economy after , the third largest in the Middle East and, according to many prestigious international reports, the most important financial and economic centre in the region. This is reflected in the standards of living of its citizens.
Internationally, the late Sheikh Zayed laid the foundations of a foreign policy, which is characterized by wisdom, moderation, balance, support for truth and justice, and maintaining a language of dialogue and understanding. This balanced foreign policy has become a hallmark of the UAE, both regionally and internationally. Sheikh Zayed was held in high regard by all Arab leaders, enabling him to act as a mediator on more than one occasion. He has also earned a reputation as an international humanitarian and philanthropist, supporting a number of causes across the world and again setting an enduring legacy.
Sheikh Zayed passed away on November 2, 2004. His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the then Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the eldest son of Sheikh Zayed, succeeded him to the Presidency of the UAE and Rulership of Abu Dhabi, while His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, another of Sheikh Zayed's sons, was appointed the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. Under their leadership and direction, both guided by their father's values, the Emirate of Abu Dhabi has continued to prosper.
