South Morava or in the past Bulgarian Morava (Serbian and Macedonian: Јужна Морава, Serbian Latin: Južna Morava; pronounced [jûːʒnaː mɔ̝̌rav̞a]; Bulgarian: Българска Морава, Balgarska Morava) is a river in southern Serbia which represents the shorter headwater of Great Morava. Today, it is 295 km long. It flows generally in the south to north direction, from Macedonian border to Central Serbia, where it meets West Morava at Stalać, to create Great Morava.
The river rises in the Skopska Crna Gora mountain in Macedonia, north Skopje. Streams of Ključevska reka and Slatinska reka join together to form the river Golema, which is, after passing the Macedonian-Serbian border, known as Binačka Morava. After 49 km it meets Preševska Moravica at Bujanovac, and for the remaining of 246 km flows as South Morava.
South Morava belongs to the Black Sea drainage basin, and its own drainage area is 15,469 km², out of which 1,237 is in Bulgaria (through its right tributary Nišava). Its average discharge at the mouth is 100 m³/s and it is not navigable.
The Czech Republic (i/ˈtʃɛk rᵻˈpʌblɪk/ CHEK-rə-PUB-lik;Czech: Česká republika [ˈt͡ʃɛskaː ˈrɛpuˌblɪka]) is a landlocked country in Central Europe bordered by Germany to the west, Austria to the south, Slovakia to the southeast and Poland to the northeast. The capital and largest city, Prague, has over 1.2 million residents. The Czech Republic includes the historical territories of Bohemia,Moravia, and Czech Silesia.
The Czech state was formed in the late 9th century as the Duchy of Bohemia under the Great Moravian Empire. After the fall of the Empire in 907, the centre of power transferred from Moravia to Bohemia under the Přemyslids. In 1004, the duchy was formally recognized as part of the Holy Roman Empire, becoming the Kingdom of Bohemia in 1212, and reaching its greatest territorial extent in the 14th century. The King of Bohemia ruled not only Bohemia itself, but also other lands, which together formed the so-called Crown of Bohemia, and he had a vote in the election of the Holy Roman Emperor. In the Hussite wars of the 15th century driven by the Bohemian Reformation, the kingdom faced economic embargoes and defeated five crusades proclaimed by the leaders of the Roman Catholic Church and organized mainly by the emperor and princes of the Holy Roman Empire.
South is a noun, adjective, or adverb indicating direction or geography. It is one of the four cardinal directions or compass points. South is the polar opposite of north and is perpendicular to east and west.
The word south comes from Old English sūþ, from earlier Proto-Germanic *sunþaz ("south"), possibly related to the same Proto-Indo-European root that the word sun derived from.
By convention, the bottom side of a map is south, although reversed maps exist that defy this convention. To go south using a compass for navigation, set a bearing or azimuth of 180°. Alternatively, in the Northern Hemisphere outside the tropics, the Sun will be roughly in the south at midday.
True south is the direction towards the southern end of the axis about which the earth rotates, called the South Pole. The South Pole is located in Antarctica. Magnetic south is the direction towards the south magnetic pole, some distance away from the south geographic pole.
Roald Amundsen, from Norway, was the first to reach the South Pole, on 14 December 1911, after Ernest Shackleton from the UK was forced to turn back some distance short.

Travel video about destination Mikulov in the Czech Republic. South of Brno, on the Austrian border, the Czech town of Mikulov occupies a strategic location on the former trade route between Vienna and Brno. The ruling Liechtensteiner were conscious of the economic contribution made by the town’s Jewish population and so for three centuries Mikulov became the centre of the Moravian Jews. The synagogue and around ninety buildings have been preserved and have become splendid cultural monuments. An imposing Renaissance castle rises picturesquely above the town and this once royal castle guarded the country's border. In 1249, Přemysl Ottokar The Third assigned both town and castle to the Styrian family, Liechtenstein, in gratitude for their support. In 1560, the Liechtensteiners sold everyth...

Mikulov castle is a stunning building located in the centre of the town of Mikulov in the South Moravian region of the Czech Republic. The castle was built on a place of historic Slavonic settlement in the 13th century and reconstructed in the early 18th century. It has been destroyed in a fire by the end of the Second World War and reconstructed again in the 1950s. Moravia (Czech: Morava; German: Mähren ; Polish: Morawy; Latin: Moravia) is a historical country in Central Europe in the east of the Czech Republic and one of the historical Czech lands, together with Bohemia and Czech Silesia. It was also one of the 17 former crown lands of the Cisleithanian part of the Austro-Hungarian empire in 1867–1918 and one of the five lands of Czechoslovakia in 1918–1928.
