Library access
Financial members of the alumni community have selected borrowing rights at VU Libraries.
You can also access a range of e-database and journal services at VU Library. You can check the specific resources available to alumni. This means you can view a selected range of library resources online, no matter where you are.
Career advice
Our Career Development and Employment team provide a range of online and face-to-face career services for current students and graduates who have completed their studies in the last 12 months.
Services include:
- one-on-one careers counselling
- job application reviews
- conducting mock interviews
- access to an online jobs board.
We also hold a number of events throughout the year to help you develop personal and professional skills, ranging from social evenings to career planning workshops and industry information nights. With experienced, qualified guest speakers and opportunities to network and establish new industry contacts, we help you maximise your learning potential.
Financial members receive special discounted rates.
Invitations to social events
All members receive invitations to alumni social functions including reunions, anniversaries and other celebrations. We let you know of upcoming events through our alumni e-newsletter and events calendar.

VU is a proud sponsor and education partner of Malthouse Theatre. As part of the alumni community you can purchase concession priced tickets to any performance at Malthouse Theatre.

Health and well-being services
Financial members can take advantage of low rates on a range of health and well-being services through our teaching clinics. Services include:
- hair and beauty
- massage
- osteopathic medicine
- psychological treatment
- nutritional therapy
- dermal therapy.
Sport and fitness centre memberships
Your financial membership entitles you to a discounted monthly membership at our sport and fitness centres.
Short courses
Financial members are entitled to a 10% discount on most course registration fees. VU offers a number of short courses aimed at improving and developing your professional skills, as well as courses that meet your personal interests.
