Conquistadors ( /kɒn.ˈkiːstədɔrz/; Spanish and Portuguese: Conquistadores, Spanish: [koŋkistaˈðoɾes], Portuguese: [kõkiʃtaˈðoɾɨʃ]; "Conquerors") were soldiers, explorers, and adventurers at the service of the Spanish or Portuguese Empires. They sailed beyond Europe, conquering territory and opening trade routes. They colonized much of the world for Spain and Portugal in the 15th, 16th, and 17th centuries.
The name derived from the Reconquista (711–1492), the reconquest of the territory of the Iberian Peninsula that was controlled by Muslims (the state called Al-Andalus). In 1492 Castile expanded its exploratory activities, using Portuguese navigators.[citation needed] Portugal had previously established a marine route to Japan via the southern coast of Africa, with numerous coastal enclaves along the route. Following the discovery of the New World by Christopher Columbus in 1492, expeditions led by conquistadors brought much of the Americas under the control of Spain in the 16th century.
Plot
In a remote jungle, two worlds collide when a Spanish conquistador attacks an Aztec female. Set in Central America around 1525 AD, this short film tells the untold story of a female who defends herself in order to protect and provide for someone she loves. Filled with beautiful imagery and described in Nahuatl, the language of the Aztecs, this film echoes with the discovery of the New World.

Distant lands are calling you
From far across the sea
Waiting for the stories to be told
The winds of change are blowing down
Across the Spanish main
They carry you towards the land of gold
Conquistador
I see you leaving
Far away you have to go
To distant shores
They are calling
Crying out across the sea
Your stallions ride across the land
Your conquest has begun
You're searching for the kingdom of the sun
A mighty empire found you there
The like you'd never seen
The palace lay before you like a dream
Conquistador
I see you leaving
Far away you have to go
To distant shores
They are calling
Crying out across the sea
The dynasty of Inca gods
No longer rules the land
The sun has set upon the golden king
In galleons anchored off the shore
Their spirits will remain
Your destiny conquistadors of Spain
Conquistador
I see you leaving
Far away you have to go
To distant shores
They are calling
Crying out across the sea
Ah Conquistador
Is it only gold you're looking for?
Or may you still yet see, the treasure long concealed within me?
Ah Conquistador
Campaigns you waged to win the war
To gain the world and lose your soul, what were you fighting for?
Ah Conquistador
Is it only gold you're looking for?
And can you still not see, the treasure long concealed within me?
Ah Conquistador
Who plundered paradise and more?
To gain the world but lose your soul, por que Conquistador?
Ah Conquistador
Enslaved in chains you never saw
You who were meant to live so free
Ah Conquistador
Is it only gold you're searching for?
It was at a sunny fiësta The sun burning down The sound of guitars playing ooh la la And sweltering heat all around
A dark voice then called me "Maria" I looked in the eyes The eyes of a coolheaded matador The called him "the conquistador"
I felt my resistance was breaking The passionate heat deep inside This mystery man left me shaking With looks of arrogance and pride
Conquistador, gimme gimme amor Once or twice with you in paradise Ooh la la conquistador, gimme gimme amor Conquistador, oh it's you, you I adore
He said come with me my "Maria" Before the sunrise I'll show you the way to the paradise For me that was no sacrifice
He looks with arrogance and pride
Conquistador, gimme gimme amor Once or twice with you in paradise Ooh la la conquistador, gimme gimme amor Conquistador, oh it's you, you I adore
Conquistador, gimme gimme amor Once or twice with you in paradise Ooh la la conquistador, .........

He sees the moon reflect
Off the shiney steel
And though it's high above
It looks so real
Ships in the bay give birth
To smaller wooden fish
And when they reach the shore
They look so real
Another season gone
And many more will come
If you accept this now
All will change
They look up to the sky
Thinking of the days
Before their worlds clashed
They looked so realTime to run and tell the others
Dressed in steel they're on our island
He asks the elders now
To speak his native tongue
He needs to hear the words
They remember none
Ships in the bay return
Create a whole new race
And though they are not gods
They look so real
Time to run and tell the others
On the other side of our island
Time to run
On the other side
Conquistador
Fuego y amor conquistador
Conquistador
Dueño del sol conquistador
Amo y señor conquistador
Su escudo es el corazón
Su espada es una caricia
él no conoce fronteras
Y su bandera es la del amor
Es un guerrero de paz
Bravo jinete de amor
l da la vida en un beso
Quiere a su paso un mundo mejor
Conquistador
Fuego y amor conquistador
Conquistador
Dueño del sol conquistador
Conquistador
Amo y señor conquistador
Cabalga de norte a sur
Valiente y soñador
Es un quijote en el viento
Y alza su voz en una canción
Viene a luchar por el bien
Su guerra se llama fe
Su ejército es de palomas
Un defensor del amor por ley
Conquistador
Conquistador
Odpływam gdzieś co noc
By wracać każdego dnia
Do barw
Nie! Wciąż mam ten sam stan
Conquistador your stallion stands
in need of company
and like some angel's haloed brow
you reek of purity
I see your armour-plated breast
has long since lost its sheen
and in your death mask face
there are no signs which can be seen
And though I hoped for something to find
I could see no maze to unwind
Conquistador a vulture sits
upon your silver shield
and in your rusty scabbard now
the sand has taken seed
and though your jewel-encrusted blade
has not been plundered still
the sea has washed across your face
and taken of its fill
And though I hoped for something to find
I could see no maze to unwind
Conquistador there is no time
I must pay my respect
and though I came to jeer at you
I leave now with regret
and as the gloom begins to fall
I see there is no, only all
and though you came with sword held high
you did not conquer, only die
And though I hoped for something to find
Every fable you've ever sown
In every building you've ever owned
Any chance to cheat or beat the clock
With every oil slick sticking to the rocks
What you see is what you get
Manhattan skyline, a California sunset
Truth decay and the breadline poor
But honey's what the bees make Conquistador
Conquistador
Whatta ya fighting for
Whatta ya want from life
You've got such an appetite for more
They laid down the Incas
You lay down the law
So hungry for more like Conquistadors
Whatta ya fighting for
Only the lonely big leather chair
Holds it's position year after year
With every wave on every shore
You wash away your sins like Conquistadors
Conquistador
Whatta ya fighting for
Whatta ya want from life
You've got such an appetite for more
They laid down the Incas
You lay down the law
So hungry for more like Conquistadors
Oh they laid down the Incas
You lay down the law
So hungry for more like Conquistadors
Whatta ya fighting for
So where's the party
Your sense of humor
Rumors on Wall Street
They're diggin' up
Shakin 'em down and drunk on a holiday
Dishin' them 'lectric blues in an old school way
Lucy and Glenda Jones in an Old beef bone
Drinkin' that whiskey juice till they're all alone
They was blues conquistadors
Soul conquistadors
Blues conquistadors
Soul conquista
Old Betty Moe was movin' it and doin' it right
Muddy and John Lee rockin' in the house of blue light
Trouble and worry come back on another day
Nellie's aunt Bee got down and began to pray
They was blues conquistadors
Soul conquistadors
Blues conquistadors
Soul conquista
You, you, you gotta, gotta mess around to feel right
Then you slow it down sometimes just enough to get me home
You, you, you got me diggin' in a cold mine
Diggin' in a blue mine, Jesus gonna help me get there
With them blues conquistadors
Soul conquistadors
Blues conquistadors
Soul conquista
Twenty odd years since they burned that checkerboard lounge
Listen that howlin' wolf make a nasty sound
Muddy and John Lee, you know they passed away
But the Gin room boogie still make you shake a leg
But the Gin room boogie still make you shake a leg
But the Gin room boogie still make you shake a leg
The Gin room boogie still make you shake a leg
