WAVY-TV, channel 10, is a television station licensed to Portsmouth, Virginia, serving as the NBC affiliate for the Hampton Roads area (comprising the cities of Portsmouth, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Newport News). WAVY is owned by LIN TV Corporation, and is a sister station to Fox affiliate WVBT (channel 43). The two stations share studios and offices in Portsmouth, and WAVY-TV broadcasts from a transmitter in located in Suffolk, Virginia.

In addition to its main signal, WAVY-TV is rebroadcast on seven translators. Both W30CI and W42DP are located in the Eastern Shore of Virginia and are municipally-owned by Accomack County rather than WAVY Broadcasting, LLC and LIN TV. The Translators located in the Greater Hampton Roads area are owned and operated by WAVY Broadcasting, LLC and LIN TV.

WAVY-TV, the Hampton Roads area's third-oldest VHF television station, began operations on September 1, 1957. It was originally owned by Tidewater Teleradio along with WAVY radio (1350 AM, now WGPL). It originally signed-on as an ABC affiliate but swapped with then-NBC affiliate WVEC-TV in 1959 due to its radio sister's long affiliation with NBC radio. In 1968, it became the second station owned by what was then known as LIN Broadcasting. WAND in Decatur, Illinois was the first owned by the company but was sold-off to a new owner in November 2007. As a result, WAVY-TV became the earliest station acquisition that is still owned by LIN TV through various ownership changes within the company along with one name change.

Francesco Carrozzini (born September 9, 1982) is an Italian photographer and director.

He lives and works in New York City.

Francesco grew up in Milan, Italy. He began taking pictures and making films with his friends as a youth, which led him to pursue an education in the arts. In the summer of 1999, he went to Los Angeles to study film at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He later returned to Italy to study philosophy at the University of Milan, until his subsequent move to New York City.

Francesco was exposed to the world of fashion at a young age as the son of Franca Sozzani, editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia. His career as a photographer began in 2006, and in a few years he became one of the most respected young photographers in the industry. He has since contributed to: L'Uomo Vogue, German Vogue, Italian Vogue, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, New York Magazine, W, Rolling Stone and US and UK Esquire, amongst others.

He is well known for his portrait and fashion work. He has photographed such Hollywood stars as Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro, Scarlett Johansson, John Malkovich, Oliver Stone; models Heidi Klum,Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer, Milla Jovovich, Naomi Campbell, Stephanie Seymour and Tyra Banks; and musicians Beyoncé, Sting, Keith Richards and Marilyn Manson amongst others. He has also photographed artists Jeff Koons, Richard Prince, Marina Abramovic and Nigerian president Jonathan Goodluck.

Quincy Matthew Hanley (born October 26, 1986), better known by his stage name ScHoolboy Q, is an American hip hop recording artist signed to Top Dawg Entertainment and Interscope Records. Hanley is a member of Black Hippy along with Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar and Ab-Soul. In a 2011 interview when asked about what encouraged him to start rapping, Hanley explained that it was something he was "born to do": "I was just chillin’ man, but rapping’s just something I was born to do. I don’t know when I started rapping. I don’t know how I started rapping, but I know I wrote a verse and I was stuck ever since," he explained.

Preceded by two mixtapes, his first independent album Setbacks, reached #100 on the US Billboard 200 chart in 2011, selling close to 1,000 digital copies in the first week. On January 14, 2012, he released his second independent album Habits & Contradictions. The album debuted at #111 on the US Billboard 200, with first-week sales of 3,900 digital copies in the United States.

Casey Jones, better known by his stage name Casey Veggies, is an American rapper from Inglewood, California. Since 2007, the young artist has released 5 independent record label mixtapes. under LA clothing and management company Peas&Carrots Intl. His most recent tape, Customized Greatly Vol. 3, was released on April 9, 2012.

Casey Veggies was born in Inglewood, California on July 18, 1993. Veggies started rapping after his junior year in high school.

Casey released his first mixtape Customized Greatly Vol. 1 at the age of 14. While Casey was originally one of the founding members of the hip hop group OFWGKTA, appearing on the groups first effort The Odd Future Tape, he decided to branch out on his own after his first mixtape release. In an interview with Respect Mag, Casey stated it as:

"It’s hard to explain, really, but I just had more of a [different] vision for my own rap career. I wanted to do my own thing."<

Following up that project with Customized Greatly Vol. 2, Veggies began to work closely with friends Joshton Peas and Anwar Carrots to help establish PNCINTL, better known as Peas & Carrots International. Having worked with Def Jam artist YG on his 2nd mixtape, Veggies began to take rap much more seriously. In an interview with The Madbury Club, Veggies discussed how "strategic sponsorships, limited merchandise, organic partnerships, social presence and influence ability have proved fundamental in the success of Peas & Carrots and thus, Casey Veggies".

Patrick Galen Dempsey (born January 13, 1966) is an American actor, known for his role as neurosurgeon Dr. Derek Shepherd ("McDreamy") on the medical drama Grey's Anatomy. Prior to Grey's Anatomy he made several television appearances and was nominated for an Emmy Award. He has also appeared in several films, including Sweet Home Alabama, Made of Honor, Valentine's Day, Flypaper, Freedom Writers, and Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

Dempsey was born in Lewiston, Maine, and grew up in Buckfield, Maine. His mother, Amanda M. (née Caisson), was a school secretary, and his father, William A. Dempsey, was an insurance salesman. He attended Buckfield High School and St. Dominic Regional High School. He was an adept juggler, tying for second in a national juggling competition. He was also an accomplished skier and while in high school won the Maine state slalom championship.

As a child, Dempsey attended Camp Wekeela located in Hartford, Maine.

Dempsey was diagnosed with dyslexia at age twelve. He told Barbara Walters on her 2008 Oscar special that he thinks dyslexia "made him what he is today." “It’s given me a perspective of — you have to keep working,” Dempsey told Walters. “I have never given up.”
