The Cater Street Hangman (1998 Film) (1/10)
The Cater Street Hangman is a made-for-television film based on the crime novel by British author of historical detective fiction Anne Perry. It is Ms Perry's first book in her The Inspector Pitt Mysteries series which features the husband-and-wife team of Thomas and Charlotte Pitt. Incidentally, Ms Perry's writing career began with The Cater Street Hangman, which was published in 1979. Set in 1881, the story introduces Victorian policeman Inspector Thomas Pitt, and Charlotte Ellison, who comes from a wealthy family. The Inspector Pitt Mysteries series is arguably the longest-sustained crime series by a living writer. Midnight At Marble Arch is the latest in the series, which was released in September 2012. For all her books on the Inspector Pitt series, Ms Perry uses the names of real neighbourhoods in London as titles. Directed by Sarah Hellings, the screenplay of this film was written by T T Bowen and stars Eoin McCarthy and a young Keely Hawes, with the late Judy Campbell as Grandmama. It is noted however, although well-made, the film unfortunately departs slightly from Ms Perry's original story; it dwells less on seamy motives, as well as ends a little differently.
The Cater Street Hangman remains to date the only one of Anne Perry's books to be adapted for television. If you are keen to follow The Inspector Thomas Pitt Mysteries series, or any of Ms Perry's other series, you may refer to our blog British Mysteries at http://britmysteries.blogspot.sg/ for a bibliography of Ms Perry's works to date.

A nevelőnő 1998.Teljes film
Rosina érdeklődését felkelti a fényképezés, s a képeknek hamarosan főszereplőnője lesz . Az érzéki vonású lány lelki és testi szépsége a gazdát és fiát egyaránt elbűvöli

lost in a moment
one take impromptu film made in Tokyo by Dennis Wheatley
sitting in this sushi bar pondering how best to set up a camera to film things all by itself whilst in Tokyo.
Take hands out of the equation... let the camera have its own journey.
I'd taken a cannibalised record turntable with me from the UK with the idea of filming slow panoramas but it was painfully bumpy and stopped every minute.
Then the eureka moment sitting looking at the carousel
A few years later I was working on a piece of music and married the two together.
The music is all about that feeling when you're half asleep in the sun.. the ambiance of foreign voices becomes a lullaby to dream away.
There's something beautiful in not understanding a language.. it becomes abstract, musical.
Opera can be amazing when you can't understand the words!
What we loved about watching this film back was the space that the camera was able to enter.. extremely personal and scrutinising but not too lingering.
dennis
The music is 'lost in a moment' by 'shrift' from the album of the same name.
myspace.com/shriftspace
more trivia: film was originally taken in 1998... married with the music much later.
Thanks for all the positive comments.. will upload a better quality version soon.

10 days, 17 films and 1 tribute.
Editor's note: In 10 days I watched again almost all movies of filmmakers (Quentin Tarantino & Joel and Ethan Coen), I selected more than 500 scenes, and had a hard work editing. Leave a comment, suggest new duels. Enjoy.
This video was purely non-profit and not Aimed at breaking copyright laws.
Editor's note #2: I know that they are different in many ways, this is not necessarily a comparison or "fight". It's just a hommage.

Minden harcos célja: megölni a másikat.

My Film Favorites of 1998
A montage of stills from my favorite films and performances of 1998, set to a favorite song from that year. These are just my personal favorites (but you could think of these as alternate Academy Awards).
I've chosen my top 6 favorite Supporting Actresses and Actors, Actresses, Actors, Directors, and Films, highlighting my absolute favorites.
These aren't necessarily "the best," just my favorites: Movies I could watch again and again. Great acting, singing, entertaining. Iconic stars in iconic roles. Films that blow me away. Stories that grab me. Performances that surprise me. But nothing that bores me. I only agree with the Oscars about half the time.
Enjoy! Agree or disagree, I'd love to hear your favorites. Mature and thoughtful comments are welcome!
