Awesome Views from Rocky Mountain National Park, Trail Ridge Rd
Recommend watching in 1080 HD. A Compilation of my Rocky Mountain National Park Videos from my drive down Trail Ridge Road on the day the road opened for the season on May 28, 2010. From the vast montane valleys through the subalpine forests to the stunning snow covered alpine tundra. Awesome views and high altitude! Sorry if some clips are shaky, I was battling to hold the camera steady in the mighty mountain wind :) The music was made and played by me. Starts 15 seconds into video. Areas include: Rainbow Curve - find the ground squirrel Forest Canyon Lava Cliffs Gore Range Milners Pass Poudre Lake Continental Divide Medicine Bow Curve - very windy Kawuneeche Valley Never Summer Mountains the Colorado River.. not far from the start.. some lazy Moose laying around. Please watch in HD! Much Better!

Rocky Mountain National Park.mp4
On September 30, 2011, I drove through Rocky Mountain National Park from Granby, CO to Estes Park, CO along US Highway 34. It is referred to as the "highest road in the United States." It crosses the Continental Divide at Milner Pass (elev. 10758 ft) and reaches a maximum elevation of 12183 ft. I would rate this scenic drive as comparable with the Beartooth Highway in Wyoming / Montana.

Rocky Mountain National Park - Colorado
In this episode of Cheap Family Travel, we headed to Rocky Mountain National Park in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado
While we were camping at Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado we made the trek up the Andrew's Glacier Hike! Rocky Mountain National Park Colorado is one of the busiest National Parks we have visited in recent years. According to the official RMNP page on the NPS site the park had over 3 million visitors in 2010! Compare that number to the 374640 visitors that a park like Big Bend got in 2010. During our visit it was obvious of the crowds that flock to this famous park, we had to make reservations in advance to hold a specific site. We were lucky enough to get all the nights we wanted in just one site; we have been on trips where we had to hop around to different camp sites just to stay as long as we wanted to, in the Florida Keys we stayed in three different sites just for three nights! Of course this wont happen if you reserve pretty far in advance! But we all know it doesn't always work out this way, plans can change and last minute trips are always the best to put together! RMNP is beautiful! We took advantage of the hikes in this park and decided we wanted to hike out to a glacier since we don't always get this opportunity in Texas. When we reached the trail head for the Andrew's Glacier hike the parking lot was pretty full and it was very large, that was the first sign that we would not get much alone time on this hike. There is alternate parking that you can park your car at and then take the shuttle up to the trail head. This however would have out more time ...
