Classic Doctor Who The TV Movie Part 2 (1996 film)
Doctor Who is a television movie based on the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. Developed as a co-production between Universal Television, BBC Television, BBC Worldwide, and the American network FOX, the 1996 television film premiered on 12 May 1996 on CITV in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, 15 days before its first showing in the United Kingdom on BBC One, and two days before being broadcast in the United States on FOX. The film was the first attempt to revive Doctor Who, following its suspension in 1989. It was intended as a back-door pilot for a new American-produced Doctor Who TV series, and introduced Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor in his only televised appearance as the character. Although a ratings success in the United Kingdom, the film did not fare well on American television, and no series was commissioned. The series was later relaunched on the BBC in 2005.[1] Although the film was primarily produced by different hands from the 1963-89 series, and intended for an American audience, the producers chose not to produce a "re-imagining" or "reboot" of the series (examples of such proposals can be found in Jean-Marc Lofficier's book The Nth Doctor (Virgin Publishing, 1997)), but rather a continuation of the original narrative. The production was filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, to date the only episode of Doctor Who filmed in Canada.

Doctor Who Review of the 1996 film starring Paul McGann as the 8th Doctor Who. Who has to save the world from the Master played by Eric Roberts. Daphne Ashbrook plays the Companion Grace. Written by Mathew Jacobs and Directed by Geoffrey Sax PLOT (Spoilers) As the film opens, The Master has been tried on Skaro and found guilty of a "list of evil crimes,". His death sentence at the hands of the Daleks has been carried out. His last wish was for his remains to be returned to Gallifrey by his archenemy, the Doctor, currently in his seventh incarnation. During the trip back to Gallifrey in the Doctor's TARDIS, the vessel shakes, causing the box containing the Master's remains to shatter and allowing a sentient ooze to escape from it. The ooze enters the TARDIS controls and forces an emergency landing in Chinatown in San Francisco, California on New Year's Eve 1999. As the Doctor steps from the TARDIS to find his bearings, he is shot by a gang who are chasing down Chang Lee, a young Chinese-American man. Lee calls for an ambulance, and the Doctor is rushed to a nearby hospital. The surgeons find, through X-rays, that the Doctor has two hearts, but they assume the x-ray image is a double exposure. As cardiologist Dr. Grace Holloway starts to operate with a cardiac probe, the Doctor wakes up ...

Doctor Who: 1996 Telemovie Alternative Opening Titles
A few months prior to the airing of the 1996 Doctor Who telemovie, producer Philip Segal revealed a "draft" version of John Debney's new take on the classic WHO theme tune. The aired version of the theme was subtly but (to me) sadly different. Presented for you here is my own cut of the opening titles, using the draft version of the theme. --- View my channel for more of my WHO fan vids, and more.

Doctor Who Theme 19 - Full Theme (1996)
High Quality: uk.youtube.com Yep, we've broken into November and into the nineties! Which, quite frankly, was a dire decade for Doctor Who. There was only three new broadcasts of Doctor Who, and two of those were the crappy "Dimensions in Time"! But, anyway, this is the theme from the other episode. The sometimes hated, sometimes loved TV Movie. As I always say, and hopefully won't all the time, enjoy!

Rare never seen before uncut interview with Tom Baker AKA Doctor Who 1996
Thomas Stewart "Tom" Baker (born 20 January 1934) is a British actor. He is best known for playing the fourth incarnation of the Doctor in the science fiction television series Doctor Who, a role he played from 1974 to 1981. He remains the longest-lived incarnation of the Doctor in the show's on-screen history, counting both the classic and modern series. Within the series' narrative, the Doctor is a centuries-old Time Lord alien from the planet Gallifrey who travels in time and space in his TARDIS, frequently with companions. When the Doctor is critically injured, he can regenerate his body; in doing so, his physical appearance and personality change. This interview was conducted at the Doctor Who convention at Longleat Safari Park in 1996. Interview by Shaun Russell. Camera by Ben Jones. Brought to you by the hilarious sci-fi comedy Kangazang! Available now as a 3 CD audiobook performed by Doctor Who's Colin Baker. Visit the website now to order your copy while stocks last! www.kangazang.co.uk

Doctor Who Theme 20 - Opening Theme (1996)
High Quality: uk.youtube.com We're up to number 20! And to mark the occasion I don't really have anything special. Oh well, doesn't matter! This, anyway, is the opening theme from the 1996 TV Movie. Nothing much special about it, apart from saying that this theme was obviously only broadcast once. Enjoy the exclusivity!
