Yesterday, Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed Executive Directive 2024-1 to help train 5,000 new infrastructure workers, who will each earn an industry-recognized certificate or credential or receive on-the-job training. The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO) will work to ensure all 5,000 workers receive their training and are placed in good-paying jobs. https://lnkd.in/gHjm-cGn?

The Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency (MVAA) is now accepting applications for its Veteran-Friendly Schools (VFS) initiative for the 2024-2025 academic year. The Michigan Veteran-Friendly Schools Program recognizes academic institutions committed to supporting the needs of veterans and military-connected students. These institutions are awarded Gold-, Silver-, and Bronze-level status based on their veteran-centric services and programs.
