My annual letter of recommendation tweet: Do not feel bad asking professors for letters. 1) It's our job. We are not doing you a favor. 2) How do you think we got our jobs? We've asked for many letters. It's the Circle of Life. Don't sweat it, just give your writers enough time.

Not enough people know: NYC is now offering *free, same-day home delivery* of paxlovid (new, effective anti-viral pill). If you test pos, especially if you're hi-risk, ask your doc about this treatment. If you don't have a doc call 212-COVID19. And for now we have good supply.

“Time,” writes, “is the tribute a court pays to diversity. It’s an acknowledgement that five elite lawyers can never — and should never — be too sure that their vision of the law is right, and others wrong.”

Yes. I'm skeptical of much of the "campus cancel culture" narrative, I don't think "self-censorship" is per se bad (it depends on what's being censored!), and I don't agree with everything this student says, but if students feel this way, we should listen to them, not taunt them.

Whether courts of appeals have supervisory powers to promulgate district court procedural rules is not a question the text of Article III has anything whatsoever to say about.

Anyone who wants Judge Jackson to show her papers can just get a Westlaw account and read her 500+ judicial opinions.

Getting sickening déjà vu of the feeling two years ago when everything felt very far away and then, all of a sudden, it wasn't.

This Question Presented is *way* too broad for this case (lower ct op here: ) and encourages us to line up on one side or the other of a broader culture war rather than focusing on its particular facts and the specific claims each side is making.

Your occasional reminder that engagement on here is not a good proxy for how widely held a view is, and indeed may be closer to the opposite.

Another opportunity to push “unconstitutional but not void” as a remedial option.
